I had no trouble running Shadow of Mordor or Wolfenstein: The New Order at High (or High-Ultra even?) settings. The same goes for Dragon Age: Inquisition.
The way Black Ops III looks on my PC right now is just terrible though, isn't it? I don't have eye problems, right? That shadow is pracitcally made of huge squares.

I don't think there is anything you can do, and I strongly doubt Treyarch will bother optimizing for 2gb cards. It's safe to say their target PC specs are 3gb+.
If by "nice looks" you mean textures then nope. Here's the deal: if I change anything, that is sacrifice performance (which right now is nice, at 50+) for nice looks, the game just crashes and burns. That is not cool and should be fixed.
I just played a few matches of Kill Confirmed with basically everything at high, not max, at 1080p and it basically didn't drop from 60 FPS unless it was going back to a menu after a match was over. Very smooth. Mouse controls feel... not precise? Feels like a tad bit of lag or acceleration or something.
They can make the medium textures look less ass.If by "nice looks" you mean textures then nope.
It's not Treyarch's fault your 760 has only 2gb. They can't fix that.

Their high texture settings is meant for 3gb+ cards.

Normal textures look utterly terrbile, though. And other devs had no problem making High or even Ultra textures work okay with 2GB cards.

Anyone else unable to hear anything through a headset? I have a wireless USB headset, and I can hear everything totally fine through my external speakers, but it's complete silence through the headphones. They work totally fine with everything else, too.

Headphones work fine here. Check your windows settings when you plug in your headphones or maybe they're broken?
Does it not have the same audio options as BO2, where you cycle between outputs in Options?
Is it looking that much better than AW? I think AW looked amazing on PC.
Some more benchmarks with the new drivers from both teams:

Many thanks for the info.Extra textures + shadows are super taxing :
As a matter of interest the game is 900p on Xbox One, sub 1080p dynamic on PS4 and 60fps is not sustained.

Honestly that's a pretty major difference to me right there. But I mean, fuck, that's not 6 GB worth of textures. Plenty of games have looked just as good without running like PowerPoint presentations.
VRAM usage BO3 is pushing with graphics it has is joke when put next to e.g. TW3. I know different styles of games and all, but come on now... :/
Performance itself is improved from Beta in sense that weird stuttering isn't present, even when resource usage is very high.
I think it looks a lot better than Black Ops II, at least.Hell, even compare it to its own predecessors. I had no trouble maxing out Advanced Warfare or Black Ops II and they both looked great. This certainly doesn't look any worse but it's not really better either. Performance is ridiculously bad given the visuals, at least on Kepler cards (which seems like a recurring theme here)....
I wish I could get consistent framerates at max settings with this game. I hesitate to call it a terrific looking game, but to me at least the game looks really slick in motion when the framerate allows it. I really like the palette and lighting, and the motion blur here is maybe the best I remember seeing in a FPS since PlanetSide 2 and Crysis. It borders on the ridiculous at times with the option set to 'always on', but I love it for the most part.
Uncompressed textures maybe?I wonder why extra textures are so demanding in terms of VRAM. They don't look that good and there does not seem to be that many of them per level.
No chance for Treyarch to do anything about this I guess.
Uncompressed textures maybe?
Anyone know of a fix for the game constantly hard locking my machine?
I played 250h of witcher 3 before this with not a single crash ( and I believe that game pushed my rig harder as well).
So frustrating.

Specs + settings would help.
