Thank God. I love how people here have been saying that the exo movements didn't involve randomness to gun fights. Yet here we have you tubers who dedicate their whole life to COD saying it that it was random.

Oh wow, the MOBA thing has me interested... but I am still weary for it being a COD game: low TTK and bad map design are dealbreakers.

What's that PC game that's doing the same sort of thing again? Overwatch?

Overwatch is vaguely MOBA-like in the sense that you pick from a variety of unique characters who have abilities and are divided into roles, but that's where the similarities end. No leveling up, no shops, no creeps, etc. as far as we know.

This is cross-gen.

Treyarch is working on current generation only but a last generation version is being outsourced, most likely to High Moon Studios.
R.I.P Cybertron series :(

Seriously, SO MUCH MISINFORMATION going around.

A) The game is almost surely NOT Current Gen only. Activision are not that stupid, to lose the millions of sales they can still get on PS360. This is exactly how it worked last year too. Treyarch is working on the current gen game, and another studio will port it to PS360. This is what all the articles point to anyway.

B) The Beta is not happening any time soon. This is EXACTLY what they did with Destiny as well. They are going to give you a unique little code that you will put into the Beta site. You register it with a username and select your platform. Then, when the Beta starts, they keys will be deployed from there. It is actually a much smarter way to do it, because then they don't have to deal with the retail nightmare that is issuing codes. That always ends up as a huge clusterfuck.

so we might get a ALPHA around E3?

Add a campaign. Lol

I hope not. Expand on the multiplayer campaign and make it like Chromehounds where it feels like an actual battleground with places being taken after each match with a map showing who owns what and where fights are happening.

For the new topic:

Since it seems like no one is watching the videos of the opinions linked earlier, I'll post some of what was said.

-Slower movement speed than AW, especially in the air.
-Air dashing and wall running are not ideal for combat. Mostly used strictly for traversal.
-Water combat is "seamless".
-Much more ground based than AW.
-Wall running is stricter and less abundant than Titanfall. You won't be bouncing from wall to wall with little loss of momentum like in Titanfall
.

According to TmarTn's impression video, "The thrust jump is more to get around obstacles or to get onto a second story floor. It's not meant to evade gunfire. Most of gunfights that happen in Black Ops 3, happen on the ground. It's not anything like the Exo-Jump was."

watching these videos has me a lot more hyped for the game. I'm still skeptical about the class system. It sounds like we cant even pick our own guns and customize them anymore?

To note, it's possible that someone like High Moon is doing a last-gen version, but Treyarch said they're only working on a current-gen version.

And from little we've seen of the game, it's not exactly a graphical show piece. A 360/PS3 port doesn't seem like the graphical downgrade that Advanced Warfare was (and even then the 360 version sold best).

I'd be in the dick
Speaking of which how is Advanced Warfare? I havent played a Call of Duty since MW2
I liked it a lot. Used to be a big CoD fan but took a break for a few years. Liked the gameplay changes in AW a good deal, particularly in the campaign.

Overwatch from Blizzard is more like TF2 with MOBA ability sets.

Battleborn from Gearbox is the FPS MOBA game.

Take the impressions with a grain of salt.

They go to these events, feel privileged to be there, and always sing the games' praises. It was those same YouTuber's who though the Exo movements were the Second Coming when they first got to play AW. They even praised Call of Duty: Ghosts when they got to play it first.

I actually could see myself playing a lot this in co-op. Unfortunately this year has too many big releases of my interest, so I believe I won't find money or time to get this. Let's see what happens.

Graphically it seems quite disappointing though. Those screenshots of AW seems more impressive then what I've seen in the trailer.

I doubt it. They did an Alpha for Destiny because it was a brand new IP. They don't need an Alpha for a game that they have made so many times.

I didn't take that at all. I could be wrong, but it sounds more like you pick and are stuck with your specialist for the game, but create-a-class is still a thing that you can change after every death.

Holy shit, for real? I may go ahead and do that later today.
Its not your real beta key. Its just the way Ubisoft does it with the Rainbow Six Siege Beta.

Its a small code to secure your access. You redeem that code on callofduty.com (but login is down at the moment lol)

This game looks very good.

Does it? this was the first screen for AW

Advanced-Warfare-2.jpg

compared to this

bad art aside, looks like a regression in every way on the technical front.

1. Hit detection was ass.

2. Way too much health you could shoot a guy in the back he turns and C4s you, making Hardcore a must play mode.

3. Maps became predictable as hell because there were only 3 paths on most.
1. What?
2. What? That sounds like poor accuracy lol
3. Hah no.

Graphicaly the game looks worse than AW. The game literally took wall running from Titanfall..Looks like AW2 came early -_-.

Crazy how both new Cod and BF releases will looked worse graphically than their predecessors.

For anyone worried about movement systems, or similarities to AW, or maps being vertical like AW, or any other fears that would be fixed if you could play it: watch the videos from the YouTubers who played the game for hours this weekend.

TmarTn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLjB4fahrqQ

Also, PC version is high-priority this year. From The Guardian:

"The studio has also claimed that the PC version is a priority this year, with support for high-end rigs and 4K monitors, as well as scalable options for lower-end machines."

Just watched the trailer again on a TV rather than a phone and yep, I'm definitely in. Game looks like it'll be a ton of fun.

Fine. I'll be ACTUALLY happy when they give ACTUAL Dedicated Servers back (with mod support pls_)

So the maps aren't going to be on multi level like on AW and there isn't any boost packs??

Fml titanfall and AW changed what I expect from FPS forever I can't go back :(

Ok I dont give a shit about MP so this sounds good

It's probably the best Call of Duty campaign post-COD4.

It feels like a big budget movie and they vary the gameplay quite significantly level to level. You can see the money that was put into it.
