Still no word yet on whether Price/Soap will appear? I think the answer to that question will ultimately decide whether I end up getting this I adored the COD4 SP campaign, and thought MW2 was pretty good too, albeit a little too over the top..
Sure it is. That's the exact reason they could use in just erasing the concept from the series from here on out. Guess I could just avoid the joke modes that this is an actual issue.

Can any confirm whether the following is true regarding Specialist killstreaks...
- You cannot see any type of uav that any of your teammates call in
- Hardline will have no effect so you'll still need to do 2,4,6 instead of 1,3,5.
Haha, why would they want to nerf what seems like the worst strike chain to be even worse?
I think a cool twist, though, would be that Assassin's can't see the minimap and Blast Shield people have weaker explosives etc.
And by etc. I mean I can't think of any others.
It's funny, though, how Assassin Pro is CUAV and EMP immunity; it seems like the people that run Ghost are some of the most reliant on the radar to find people.

If you think that's a glitch then you clearly don't understand the concept of what a glitch is. Design decision != glitch. Design decisions change but that doesn't mean the previous functionality was a glitch. The designers knew EXACTLY how claymores work. If they didn't work as designed, then that's a glitch. This extremely remedial and I don't know why I had to type it.
And why the hell would a claymore just disappear once someone dies? Talk about breaking S&D amongst other things.
Yep. The casual gamers are i.e. those that are not following the news.
I remember when my friend who loves Call of Duty told me "Did you hear they are adding Zombie Mode to Modern Warfare 2? It's going to be Exclusive to PS3! They're going to have Taliban Zombies!"
Yeah man, Zombies would be sick as hell in MW3. I enjoy it a lot more than spec ops. IW should take it to the next level and make it huge ass environments you have to survive in.

Gotta disagree. S&D would be a lot less fun if people's claymores disappeared when they died. It adds an extra amount of tension that you still have to be careful even if the other team has been completely eliminated.
If they changed it in other modes I'd be fine with it though.

I think it's more fair if they disappear. Ya know, "if they're dead, they're dead" no more contribution. Which is more fun to me than some kind of artificial tension from every corner being a potential death trap in a game mode where time can suddenly become very important.
I'd be willing to compromise with claymores (and all other explosive) not being lethal in MW3. I mean, you know where your claymore is and you'd know where the person with less health that triggered it would be near to give you a significant advantage in a lot of situations.

meh, all I play is search and destroy and it would be a bitch. In modes where there is respawning then MAYBE I can agree with you, but in S&D there is no respawning. Every move you make is important. If I'm risking myself putting a claymore down and someone kills me while I'm putting it in the right place, the thing should stay.
I think the support strike package will dominate this game. I don't get how people complain about overpowered air support when you can just use the sam turret (which is like a SUPER sam turret in this game) and dominate the skies. That thing fires off about 3 missiles at a time and you will be able to get several per game due to the point streaks not resetting when you die. I'll be using ballistic vest, sam turret, and juggernaut recon.
yeah it does seem a bit long. I assume it doesn't work if they are using silencers right? Also there is a perk to counter it I'm sure. Could be bad but could also be inconsequential.
on the mini map on the top left, it showed their location as red dots on the map for a while. Recon pro allows that to happen when there is bullet damage.

I haven't seen anything about it acting different with silencers involved and none of the other perks mention it. Someone editing the COD Wiki seems to think Dead Silence (Pro) counters it but it wasn't unlocked at XP and I haven't seen anything to say if it's anything beyond what the leak said (silent footsteps+no fall damage).
There's always the old reliable counter of don't get shot or hit with an explosive. :lol
Looking at the time stamps, it seems to "wear off" after about five seconds which is the time it takes to recover damage.

402 recently confirmed on Twitter that Assassin doesn't protect you from it nor does Assassin protect you from the Recon Drone that the Support Strike package can use:
I'd imagine that's the same as giving up Sleight of Hand for a lot of people even though I could see myself using every perk in that (and every) category. As good as all of the perks in it seem, I don't think "Tier 1" is that good of a name for it compared to the red tier of perks. ...pretty petty semantics but...ya know.
Also pretty cool is that someone on the DigitalWarfare247 forums noticed that the XP keynote showed a player's playercard showing what prestige they got in the past four CoD games alongside whatever bonuses they're giving people that played the older CoD games.

Keep fighting the good fight, cuevas. Sadly, most CoD players (on consoles at least) nowadays haven't even played CoD2. It's a shame that such a perfectly balanced game is so overlooked.

Yeah, I only really see it being useful for weak guns like SMGs at long range like the P90 or MP7 with their bigger magazines so you don't need Scavenger or Sleight of Hand.
