I'm amazed that people still get hung up on graphics in this day and age, especially for cross-gen games that you know will look and perform even better on the big boy consoles. 120fps over "cinematic visuals" any day of the week. I guess a lot here really enjoyed Killzone 3 multiplayer or something? :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Anyway I count NINE studios credited for this game lol. Insane.

Driftor says 6v6 maps will be smaller and more compact, 3 lane classic maps

Happy to hear
Word? That would be fuckin' fantastic if that's the case.

9 studios and the graphics still suck for a 2022 game.

The whole point of a new generation is better graphics. There’s 9 studios and the game looks it’s being worked on by 1 incompetent one.

Literally only GG has shown cross gen is viable with horizon foribidden west. Everyone else can kick rocks.

Stop apologizing for shitty looking games

Multiple studios doesn't mean that you have separate studios wholly in charge of "the graphics" you dolt.

There's no arguing or finding common ground with the likes of you though. You have no idea what goes into game development or how CoD games have always looked and felt great on a proper TV with 60 or even 120 frames per second along the level of fidelity they put on display (and obviously you want all the frames in a competitive environment).

But no, you only want every game to be on the absolute bleeding edge and always need them to showcase new tech in order for your juvenile brain not to be distracted by some other sparkly and shiny game lol.

People still play COD after that last shitshow? Usually they just build on the bullshit of the last one, no matter what studio. The last one had the worst MTX I've seen. It was pretty hilarious seeing Snoop Dogg running around in WW2, and then all the dumb paid weapon abilities that actually threw the balance off.
I quit cod like 8 years ago and since mw2019 and wz it's been on fire.

Im not buying a new console for something i dont use (120fps).
Yeah 120fps at glorious 1080p or lower lol
Give me better graphics, physics etc at 60fps any day

Pretty much ever single Activision owned Studio that has released a AA - AAA game is working on this game.....every single one.
Totally crazy. I think only Radical have been left out, but they are probably working on the Multiplayer anyway.
Has a publisher ever said hey we own all you guys....now all of you, are working on one game.

Like if SquareEnix just pulled all the AAA studios under their wing and said you all work on this one game for now you hear.

driiftor on 6v6 maps at around 21:13 'smaller and tighter' 'like the smaller maps that came out later in MW19' , ' less climbing, less grappling, less mantling'

music to my ears

I was hoping for more news on 6v6 classic cod tbh

Wearing headphones like that when you have no intention of using them is stupid looking, maybe it makes his chins look smaller? It's probably some agreement with whoever makes those awful looking headphones.

Boring talking heads, show us some gameplay FFS, don't leave it to your hypewhores to disseminate the information.

the information out does not give me much confidence, other than the potential 'smaller 3 lane maps'

But toooo much talking on other stuff like warzone, DMZ, big ground war maps, vehicles etc. That is NOT what I go to cod for, I go for my classic 6v6

so when I hear dev time go to all of that, it raises a BIG red flag, kinda how when treyarch released bo4 with blackout, they forgot about MP, and something similar happened when warzone released, MP took a backseat

kinda sucks

Might give a try on the beta. Hope is better and way less cringe than Black OPS.
how was black ops specifically cringe? They are all cringe after they go nuts with skins LOL, but cold war had a much better overall gameplay/map flow than mw19 ever did, personal opinion of course

The operator or whatever they call spamming cringe lines during rounds.
oh, yeah that was bo3 and bo4 with specialists, not the biggest fan of it, bo3 did it better than bo4, but both still played decently. And eventually on bo4 they released a mode without those specialist abilities.

Look, at the end of the day the visuals of a game can only carry it so far. Some of the most popular and well received games are the ones that aren't necessarily "cutting edge" (Elden Ring, Valheim, Apex Legends, Warzone, Breath of the Wild, Fortnite, Minecraft, etc just from the top of my head). More often than not it's the art direction that carries a game visually and determines a cohesive presentation. We're going to get plenty more Hellblades, Uncharted's, Gears of Wars that will go all out on visuals but ultimately offer a vastly different experience to that of something which is a competitive shooter. Even if it had all the bells and whistles that are available for next-gen consoles I'd still turn those off in favour of visibility, performance and clarity.

People coming in here going "wow grafix sux, looks like one lazy studio working on it" after a single trailer are, to put it mildly, incredibly reductive takes. Poor ones at that.

All that being said I do think people going "wow this looks really bad" or anything along those lines is taking the piss. I used to a graphicswhore to an extent but in the year of our lord 2022 you'd be hard pressed to find a genuinely bad looking game from AAA studios. Like, unless a game genuinely looks like amateur hour from an art direction perspective I fail to see how something like MWII looks outright "bad". Maybe I'm spoiled as I'm from the MSDOS era lol.

85 notes for the all singing and dancing edition on Steam, they going for £99 on consoles? I'll be buying regardless but gamepass can't come soon enough. Although GP must see a price increase coming once they start adding shit like this.

What? The man's a Youtuber, CoD is in the hype cycle at the moment, obviously people who are invested in the franchise will be discussing and speculating about it?

Is the entirety of CoDtube only allowed to post gameplay now when posting content related to MWII? Some of you make me question my sanity, honestly. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Im not liking the price increase becoming a standard. With the current state of games being rushed and released with a ton of problems, many of them having micro transactions and/or dlcs, and the decrease of physical copies being sold i don't find it that justifiable.

I do think the physical sales dropped drastically since last gen, or the previous to that, so less logistics cost. I don't know about marketing, because me (as most around here) go search for the info we want, so the usual marketing campaigns are not directly targeted to us. And the mtx, well yeah...

Activision, in their best years of profits, "yo let's crank up the price of this one, it has Ghost and people will wet for him".

I guess this one still uses the 2019 engine?

Wait, what timeline does this fit in? The missions look like a mashup of the original CoD4 and MW2. I get that Modern Warfare was a prequel to CoD4 but some of the missions here look directly taken from the original series. Namely the boat mission and the oil rig

It’s not insane to demand better looking games on brand new consoles.

I’m a professional photographer. I make my living off of delivering the best looking photographs I can produce to clients. I’m an artist... So are these developers at Infinity Ward.

I dont release photos if the editing/post processing is garbage. I expect the same thing when it comes to video game visuals. Step your shit UP. This game looks dated as fuck and there is no excuse. It’s ridiculous.

I’m hoping it’s just a low quality capture for the trailer.
