soundwave05 said:There's also FX Fighter for the SNES, which was supposed to be Nintendo's answer to Virtua Fighter on the Genesis. It was part of a partnership with GT's game division. It used the Super FX chip but was never released.
A Black Falcon said:Before someone says "that was just a SGI demo, not for Nintendo", wouldn't the best reason to be making an SGI demo be for the SGI-development-system-powered N64?
As for another one... I didn't see Viewpoint 64 mentioned here. The original Viewpoint was so awesome, it's too bad Viewpoint 64 was never released...
jarrod said:Rave Racer and Ace Driver for N64 were both actually announced iirc. Namco also had announced Ridge Racer for Saturn too.
DOA64 probably would've cleared a million in just the USA... too bad talks broke down between Acclaim and Tecmo, the N64 base was really starving for a half way decent 3D fighter (no disrespect to Genki).
FWIW, I've also heard Tales of Symphonia started life as a 64DD game... wouldn't surprise me really though.

That Kirby Adventure (GC) looks awesome and using the Smash Bros Melee engine if im not mistaken.
Captain N said:Nintendo had it at either E3 05 or 04 and they didn't like the responce it got from the tiny little booth in the corner they had set up for it.
WOW. That's looks really, really awful. Like REALLY, REALLY AWFUL.omg rite said:
It started off as a SNES game actually, using rendered spritework. Never was intended for N64 though as far as I know.soundwave05 said:Square did confirm in dev docs for FF7 that it did indeed start off as a N64 project. It was posted on GAF a while ago.
Parts of this went into Pikmin iirc.R0nn said:Catroots -> Canned
Actually, this became The Sealed Sword on GBA.R0nn said:Fire Emblem -> Canned

Miyamoto says Ura Zelda was Master Quest.Nemesis556 said:No it wasn't. Master Quest was a mere remix of OoT. The real 64DD Zelda was never released.
