Because it needs to be said again - fuck this game.Rlan said:As it has been said in many, many reviews - the swinging mechanic is great, the story, bullshit purple fog and everything else is just a big "What the fuck?"

Red Faction Guerilla should probably be $44.99, and it might get hammered hard for also being priced at $59.99, but I could also see them getting a lot of sales because theres nothing else out right now and it is a legitimately good multiplayer game.

Umm, Prototype is out and it is the game I am mostly worried about actually.infinityBCRT said:This is why there needs to be variable pricing in games. I would have totally bought this if it was $29.99, but $59.99? No dice.

Bionic Commando sold that amount at U.S. retail from its May 19 release to the end of NPD's retail calendar on May 30, across both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. NPD Group said it could not disclose the exact split between Xbox 360 and PS3 sales."

The game was marketed fine.AnnSwag said:It's weird, isn't it? Capcom usually markets its games pretty well. RE5 got loads of TV ads, billboards and whatnot, and that's not even a game that you have to market well. BC on the other hand got zero marketing. I didn't even know the game was coming out that week and I practically live on forums.

It just didn't click with anyone; it's the very definition of a mediocre game. Poor gameplay mechanics and horrendous level design are just two of its faults.

Dabanton said:Same here when they announced it i thought it was in house, but outside development + no proper demo meant that i waited glad i did. As it looks like the price will be low very soon.
I'll buy when it's about £14.99.

Also, the soundtrack is so fucking good in this game.
And it really does have it's moments. The end is not one of them, but there's some great fun to be had in Bionic Commando. People should really try it before shitting on it.
I blame the demo as well. That's the problem with demos: it gives people a taste of something, and they feel satisfied with that small taste. Despite how much people demand a demo or beta, there are more people who would buy a game blind, with a few trailers, than they would after playing the demo.Y2Kev said:Wanna know bad marketing? 6s and 7s, shitty art design plastered all over the existing ads, and the multiplayer demo. There you go. Completely destroyed.

Ryujin said:The problem is plain and simple that the game is a piece of shit. Not fun to play in the slightest, clunky, bad graphics, low budget, full price, TERRIBLE focus tested designs, terrible level design and just completely unappealing. This game deserved to bomb as it serves as the perfect example of what happens when you outsource a Japanese IP to a Western developer who doesn't understand it and then you give them no money.
I mean seriously this was bad, brought it back after an hour and a half and I can normally find redeeming qualities in most games. Just such a terrible, terrible game. I'm not surprised the boses in Japan had no faith in it. I mean my GOD it was bad.
I mean they had the opportunity to make something great and revive a classic IP, but instead both Capcom and GRIN fucked it straight to hell. I doubt another Bionic Commando will ever be made by anyone ever again now. Game was just not fun or fluid, actually felt like work to play and was not rewarding in the slightest.
EDIT: Should say the only redeeming quality was the music, it was pretty good. Other than that though, yuck!
