Seeing one commercial (that nintendo paid for), doesn't really count.

And it's Capcom who loses... and you too.

1. ok, so you just ceded from 0 commercials to 1 commercial?

2. its a waste of money to only run "1" commercial. They ran more than 1 commercial trust me.

What, besides RE5, does Capccom have planned for the PS3/360 that they expect to sell around double the units this fiscal year as they did last?

As far as i can see these salenumbers in the first post are worldwide salenumbers. When you quote the worldwide salenumbers (if that is the case) for those games and say that they wasnt advertized at all i would say that this applies to every country worldwide since we are talking worldwide numbers here (i think atleast). Adverticing isnt only commercials on TV, its also ads in magazine and in-store posters etc.

I didnt take it litterary that you ment no adverticing at all (i understood it as you ment that there were minimal of adverticing), but since we dont know the adverticing budgets for these games (i dont think we know the adverticing budges atleast) i think its impossible to say exactly how much these games were adverticed or not. It would near impossible to keep track of every TV channel, magazines and game stores to check how much or how little the games were adverticed worldwide.

I know that you mentioned later on that you were talking about the adverticing in the US though, but since these are worldwide salesnumbers (i think), i think its fair to count how these games were adverticed worldwide.

I do however belive that DMC4 were more frontloaded and more adverticed than those 2 Resident Evil games for Wii though. I have no idea how much those 2 Resident Evil games for Wii were adverticed, but i'm just saying that there is a possibility that they did see some adverticing in some countries :)

I'm stunned DMC4 cost 20 mil...it did have a long development though. Does that include marketing?

Great to see the PS3 getting some love. I hope one of those PSP games is DMC PSP. :D Hey Capcom look how well God of War PSP is selling, now think how an awesome DMC title would be on the PSP.

Sad to see the horrible DMC4 and RE:UC selling so well, well on a great note at least Okami bombed again.

DMC4 is the most advertised game of this year, behind GTA4. At least in the US.

Okami Wii bombed?

Come on capcom, make a new one real quick. And make a spinoff with the girls!
Why? They should be unlockables. After 30 floors with Dante (hahaha, like he's gonna return ... ;.;) on BP you unlock Trish and she plays like swordsmaster dante with Sparda and Luce and Ombra and Sparda DT. After 60, you unlock Lucia and she plays like Trickster Dante with a high speed agni and rudra and her kunai, her DT works like alastor and looks like her own. After 90 you unlock Lady and she plays like gunslinger Dante, sporting her version of E&I, Artemis, Kalina-ann, and maybe Pandora (to make up for no melee weapon), with maybe an original DT or something. At 100, you unlock Super Dante as usual. On the other side when you play as Vergil (hahaha, like he's gonna return ... ;.;) you unlock alternate costumes, or maybe sexy costumes? At the various game difficulties you unlock alternate versions of Dante, DMC1 (balanced), DMC2 (power), DMC3 (speed), Sparda (power & Speed). And similar results with Vergil, but Nelo instead of Sparda. Of course, this is in addition to all the neat little things we're used to unlocking in DMC.

Make it so, Capcom, make it so.

So if the 10 titles are divided by region....take down 2 of those for the We Love Golf N.A and PAL releases...so...Capcom probably has 3 Wii titles coming for the next year.

Great stuff Capcom.

I'm dying for a new SPRITE-BASED, 2D Ghouls 'n Ghosts.

Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins was somewhat disappointing even though it had its good moments.

Also, give me a REAL Final Fight 2

(not some watered down made-for-SNES sequel or 3D bullshit fest).

I guess Capcom's decision to NOT market Okami the second time around....wasn't the ideal solution if they wanted it to SELL.

It's doing... OK... isn't it? "Meeting expectations", etc.

So who wants to take a stab at naming all the Mega Man games?

MegaMan 6
MegaMan 7
MegaMan 8
Rockman and Forte
MegaMan X
MegaMan X2
MegaMan X3

MegaMan Battle Network 6
MegaMan Zero
MegaMan Zero 2
MegaMan Zero 3

Wow... not even close, I'm missing some arcade fighters, a kart game, the remakes, the collections, a bastardized PS version, some of the games I listed have various versions; but it is still too far from 120 =(

There's also the two MegaMan Xtreme games on the GBC, Powered Up, and Maverick Hunter.

Out of those all those, I'm interested in knowing what 22 titles Cacpom has planned for the DS...
Do budget rereleases count toward that? They just rereleased all 4 DS Ace Attorney games at a new lower price.

Modified the 50-title Biohazard list a bit. I realized I forgot two games and included two others that made no sense being included.

I might not be seeing it, but wasn't RE2 released for the DC also?

The Monster Hunter console games aren't that big. MH Portable though...

Kinda like Pokemon.
At the time of the last console Monster Hunter release, no Monster Hunter had gotten even close to a million, home or portable.

Holy crap at Mega Man. I realised there were a lot of games in the series but 120?:lol
Actually, this is the only figure that seems low for me. I had a list with more than 100 a couple of years ago, and they steadily publish games each years. I guess my list was pretty complete. Remember that they made many spin-off, party games, football games, RPGs, fighting games, and un bunch of remakes and cellphone games.

So wasn't RE:UC some sort of "test" by capcom to Wii owners? So capcom, how did we do? Is a million sales enough to convince you to produce another fucking game on the Wii? I sincerely hope so...

Good news though, UC was a great side-game to the main series, it was very fun and had a surprising amount of gameplay/content.

Why is DMC 4 is combined in the chart? Every other game like RE4 is stated for each system alone although RE4 was also a multiplatform title.

It's because DMC4 PS3 and DMC4 360 is a single entity. Same release date, same content, (graphically, content wise) same commercial / PR schedual, both games had achievements as well, online content etc.

Whereas RE4 -- the different console version came out at different dates, with different content, with different PR campaigns, budgets, etc.

Take for instance DMC3 and DMC3:SE are listed as separate games with their own different sales reports. RE4 Gamecube (is to DMC3) as RE4 PS2 (is to DMC3:SE).

That's why (to answer your question).

If they're going multiplatform with PS360, if Lost Planet Colonies won't be released in PS3, it means there will be 3 PS3 exclusive Capcom titles this year? Maybe just 3 PS1->PSN titles?
