You know, I didnt think they would actually have the balls to have a wanda and vision relationship, i thought it would be cute lil easter eggs and nods with him having her in his arms in AoU and having them sit together and stuff at the beginning of this movie, but they seem to actually be setting up a romantic subplot, maybe they think the audience doesnt see him really as just a android slash computer.

Credit where it's due, Paul Bettany's performance really sells Vision as being ambiguously more human than anyone around him realizes. It's interesting to me that his powers and his sense of humanity are both seemingly without limit, and he is struggling to define both of those things.

Vision REALLY had a wonderful little arc in this movie.

I could feel the hype from everyone in the theater when 'Queens' popped up on the screen. Then the place went nuts when he tied up Giant Man. Loved this film!

Wait, were people earlier in the thread seriously debating strength levels?
Cap in the MCU was never fully based on the 616 version, his powerset is more in line with ultimate Cap.
Where 616 is peak human and couldn't have done any of the things he does in all the MCU movies, Ultimate cap is superhuman and would have no problem of replicating MCU cap feats.

Also cap doesn't win because he's stronger than the iron man suit, he's simply a much better fighter than stark.

616 Cap isn't Peak Human, even if the Marvel Handbooks claim as much.

Everyone started laughing the moment the tonal shift happened when he just shows up cooking in those clothes.

Speaking of Vision, most of my female friends doesn't like him because he's too much of a Romeo due to his voice.

strengths: the side characters were sooooo good in this movie

already the best spiderman after just a few minutes in someone else's film

falcon was awesome

vision was great

black panther was really cool too

the bad part:

Captain America ruining everything for his psycho mass murdering friend and blabbing about how he wants to help people while actively not helping anyone other than his psycho mass murdering friend who is apparently more important than everyone else on the planet

I love those quiet moments. I don't understand why some find the first act slow. I want to see story of the heroes living their life from time to time not just them kicking ass all the time.

Just got out of second viewing IMAX.

T'Challa's eyes steal your soul when Zemo is monologuing at the end.

For a movie stuffed with sooooo many characters, I really think Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Sebastian Stan, and hell even Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Jeremy Renner, and Emily VanCamp put in work in the screen time they were given.

Agreed can't wait to see their work in the infinity movies.

This was the first time I watched a movie during opening weekend, and people clapping after the movie was over or cheering when giant man showed up was a little surreal to me lol

Think I heard a bit of clapping during the movie

But not quite at the end

But during the Spider-Man post-credits scene people lost their god damn minds. Screaming WHOO and clapping and shouting SPIDER-MAN WILL RETURN.

Meanwhile the poor ushers are just standing wishing Marvel would stop with post-credits scenes and these nerds would leave so they could clean up before the next spider-fan wave.

Dude was framed and once again forced into mind control. Cap's the only friend Bucky has so of course Cap would go easy on him and try to defend him against literally everyone on Earth because he knows Bucky wouldn't do that stuff when in his right mind.

Because the last time she used her mind powers, Tony was pushed to finish Ultron, the Hulk was let loose on a city, and Thor took off his shirt.

There were too many claps spread-out through parts of the movie at the theater I went, I just kept thinking of that one gif.
Got claps here when the movie ended and lots of laughing from ant man and Spider-Man. Everyone loved Spider-Man.

My BF says he heard a few notes from a Star Wars theme as Peter was roping up Giant Man. Amazing if true. I would have missed it both times I saw the film. Lol

Can't remember the exact melody, but I definitely picked up on a few Star Wars notes thrown in when he was doing it.

Fun fact: the "It's your conscience, we haven't talked much lately" is probably a Finding Nemo reference, given it's yet another Disney property.

i don't like bucky tho

he's boring

and he literally does nothing but either run away instead of not being a coward long enough to actually talk to the people he's involved with (other than cap) or get brainwashed and beat people up

i just can't like someone who essentially has 0 character and the little that's there is annoying

and he doesn't feel tragic enough considering how tragic his story is, in winter soldier they put it all on cap and left bucky kind of a blank slate

Something seemed off at times in the tone and banter in some scenes. I liked the movie, but lines like "give me back my Brodie" were so out of place considering that they're fighting against their friends.

any one seen any pics of Spider-Man's costume before Tony gave him the new one?

yea

latest

Yeah but where the fuck was he during that airport fight, playing hide the...eggplant? Rubarb?

I really loved Falcon in this movie man.

"Bird costume? C'mon man"

"Don't thank me! His name is Redwing!"

Bucky: "Can you move your seat up?" Falcon: "No."

I loved that scene. The look they gave Steve after he kissed what's her name, my god. So perfect.

Thought Spider-Man/Peter Parker was perfect. People talk about child like wonder, but it was great to see a kid who hasn't stopped geeking out at his own newfound abilities reacting to everyone else. Bucky's double take when he grabs his arm to look at it... :lol

Spider-Man felt completely out of place in the film. At least Black Panther had a valid reason thematically to be in the film.

One thing I hated was how characters call each other by their names rather than their hero name - almost as if Marvel thinks it's silly yet having a purple guy is totally okay. I can understand they are close and would be on a first name basis, but why would the media do it, too?

I'm the reverse. I love when they said "Captain Rogers". Just felt more personal.

I absolutely loved this. The first time I saw the trailer I paused on the second they showed Wanda stopping Vision and got pumped that they would interact. But I wasn't expecting this much stuff or it to be so quickly a part of Vision's arc. <3

Something I don't get: Why name the bad guy Helmut Zemo? He doesn't have much if anything in common with Baron Helmut Zemo in the comics. Was it just an intentional red herring?

Vision didn't do much, but man, he sold the unstoppable god look way better than Thor ever did. When he showed up to stop Team Cap, when he saves BP from a flying bus, when he passes through Giant-Man willy-nilly.

He was incredibly badass.

When he showed up at the airport just levitating there as a bad ass, there was an audible "wooooooaaaahhhhh" in my packed theater.
