Dark and gritty Cars!

I know lots of folks are going to shit on this and (maybe rightfully so) Cars 2, but I am actually curious about this. Cars 1 was a mediocre Pixar, but compared to the average CGI-movie actually quite good, and despite all it's shortcomings, I actually had some fun with Cars 2 (I loved the spy movie angle, though making Mater the main character was a big mistake. It is smart to have a new protagonist in a sequel, as usually the previous one allready made his arc in the original, but Mater was hardly more then anoying comic relief in the original)

Yeah, Cars 1 was alright. Nothing offensive, just decidedly a kids movie. Cars 2 was even more a Saturday morning cartoon type thing. I didn't mind it.

Definitely not what Pixar should be doing though.

I feel like I'm the only one that loved cars. This game out when I was in like 3rd or 4th grade and I fucking loved it. It's still my favorite animated film ever becuase it's just a fun movie. Everyday for 3 months when I got home from school I would make me ramen and watch cars great times and great memories.

The second one was allrifht and I only watched it in theaters and wasn't bother to watch it again.

This trailer damn first off it looks beautiful. Looks extremely realistic and a lot darker. I can handle a dark film as long as it's good and I know Pixar can make good films. So please be more like the first then the second or being something new just be good

I actually really like Cars 1. Always thought it looked really dumb and Dreamworks-y, caught it on TV and think it's probably one of Pixar's best (which I guess is becoming increasingly easier with their recent output.....)

Cars 1 is like Speed Racer done by Pixar, it's hard to hate (though the spy shit of the last one, no thanks)

If the story of 3 ends up seeming interesting I may see it but I doubt it
