With CES kicking off tomorrow, and both Sony and MS showing off the latest tech, what are the chances of seeing some info on PS4 / Xbox 720?

There have been games like Star Wars 1313, Watch Dogs and tech demos like Agni Philosophy, UE4 and Cryengine 3 - all next gen products, shown over the past 6 months. Some posters have been posting info on next gen leaking shortly after Christmas. We have loads of spec rumours.

What is the Gaf consensus?

The only 'Next-gen' I'm expecting is the next generation of Nvidia Tegra.

It'll probably be what will be in my future tablet, so I want to know more.

Microsoft won't be at CES this year. CES in general is a conference on the wane. I wouldn't expect Sony to steal any thunder from their other consumer electronics divisions with Playstation-related material-look for TVs, phones, computers, and other devices, but nothing from the gaming unit.

Sony is streaming it's conference I the Playstation blog this year with a Q&A with Kaz afterwards. That could be telling.

It depends if they want to steal MS thunder. I guess MS due to their countdown site are more likely to hold out to E3.

Sony publicly showing something next gen related at this point is even less likely than Microsoft. It's rumored MS is showing off Durango behind closed doors at CES so we may get some rumors but that'll be it in terms of next gen news.

Didn't MS show off the "Next Generation Xbox's UI" or something at CES 2005? They also gave away a bunch of HDTVs, I think. My memory's really hazy, but I vaguely remember seeing an early version of the blade UI before the "Our Colony" ARG began.

I REALLY doubt we will get anything out of CES about the consoles. Not the right market.

I also really doubt we will have any kind of official announcements out of GDC but I'm sure we will get a ton of rumours out of the devs present. There's to many parties and developpers friends drinking together to not get some info out of it.
