CGI animated films from the past 15 years that everyone already forgot about

Oh god, I've just remembered these rip-offs...do these count? (Possibly not in terms of Internet fame, though I haven't seen them mentioned for a while.) They're from Video Brinquedo, a Brazilian animation studio that does nothing more than make cheap CGI knock-offs of Pixar and Dreamworks movies.

They're...quite something.

Wow, I admire their shamelessness:

Not sure to what degree it is exactly 'forgotten' (I don't think it was a big hit), but I really enjoyed Bolt (from 2008). :)

Dinosaur is another one that I really liked as a kid (and I was super impressed with the visuals at the time, was really mindblowed). (the opening scene of that film is fantastic)

Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga'hool is also pretty decent (was impressed with the animation quality), and wasn't a big hit either.

Edit: One of the first films that I saw in cinema I think and one that isn't fondly remembered by many people I think:

It isn't pure CGI animation, it's combined with hand-drawn animation.

I remember that I was breathtaken by the visuals. This scene in particular:

pls don't fall into this category

Right there with you! ^.^

It comes out the week before Civil War. It's going to fall into this category regardless of quality.

Looking up the release slate, the rest of 2016 seems already pretty crowded anyway. I think it's a decent enough release window far enough from other CGI animated films. Maybe they could have found a better spot with mid-late February though.

If I remember correctly, it came out soon after Happy Feet. Animated penguin saturation.

Wait, so Surf's Up isn't sequel/spinoff of Happy Feet? My life will never be the same
Yeah, I haven't seen either of them

The only reason Despicable Me doesn't get forgotten by people is only because of the Minions.
Agreed, first time I saw it I turned it off 15 minutes later. Sadly, there was nowhere to run the 2nd time:/

Everyone's hero comes to mind I'm on mobile so I can't link a picture but I'm pretty sure it was a boy and he went on some sort of adventure with a talking baseball and baseball bat?

She comes from a german storybook that was later (1975) made into a german-japanese cooproduction, famous in all europe.

This type of japanese cooproduction was made all around europe, for example spain got Dogtognian and Around the world with Willy fog, Italy got Sherlock Holmes, etc...

La Abeja Maya was also popular 'round this parts (Mexico and Latinamerica)

Do people talk about Rango? I don't think they do. To be fair that movie is pretty hard to watch for the first 15 to 20 minutes because it's so weird and has this kind of off putting tone to it, but if you stick with it... it's alright. Actually goes to places where most animated movies don't which makes it worth watching imo, even if it's far from flawless.

THANK YOU!

I saw this film in Thailand in on a movie channel in 2005 and didn't catch the name. Few years ago I stumbled upon it and soon afterwards forgot its name once again and now I will finally remember it.

Just watched some of it on YouTube... It sure is rough on the eyes, lol.

Everytime I see this gif, Ante Up plays in my head.
lmao.

I remember a film trailer for a foreign animated film with a yellow tint and an adult subject matter....but its driving me crazy trying to find it. It wasn't anime, or Waltz with Bashir. It had kidnapping and murder I believe, around 2007 or 2008. I'm doubtful anyone knows what it is from that description....

It's funny because everything about this makes me think of Waltz for Bashir.

Has home been mentioned? My kid loves this but it is so forgettable. Mediocre to bad in nearly every sense, cast, music, art.
I really tried watching it but listening to the aliens for more then 10 minutes straight makes me want to put a gun to my mouth. It may be amusing to children but any adult will be suffering from a headache, plus as you said besides the main character being black the entire movie is run of the mill forgettable.

Also I will mention this movie because I don't believe I have seen a single person mention it yet.

It's not..bad its not great it's a nice movie to watch on a lazy Sunday, although far better then Home and alot of previous mentioned movies on the later pages.

Did anyone remember there were two Rio movies?

Does anyone know what the Rio movies are? Bunch of birds, takes place in Rio de Janero, the lead bird is voiced by the kid from The Social Network.

Wait, what movie was I talking about?

Yes, they made about a $1 billion.

The only reason Despicable Me doesn't get forgotten by people is only because of the Minions.
Which is a shame, because the minions are the worst part of Despicable Me.

About the Waltz With Bashir like film, could it be A Scanner Darkly? But that's not strictly CG I think. IIRC they sorta CGified live action material or something. The other possibility would be Persepolis, but that's much more stylized, and there's no yellow tint.

A film that hasn't been mentioned yet: Jets
Some Cars ripoff, just with planes. Holy moly, was it bad. It's a mystery to me why I sat through it.

I really like this movie too. Too a girl on a date to see it, which wasn't the brightest idea.

Speaking of Beowulf, I didn't care for the movie myself...I also took a girl to see it for a date. Neither of us liked it. Which isn't on the girl, later took her to see Sweeny Todd, which she loved (and I liked as well, but I'd seen a stage production of it previous).

Okay I'll try again.

Featuring William Shatner as Puss in Boots. I think it was called The True Story of Puss in Boots in the U.S.

I randomly saw this last night. It was put on to entertain a small child while my friends and I played D&D. in between combat rounds glanced at the TV.

Are people just naming anything at this point? Shark Tale is forgotten because its one of the worst animated movies ever.

Horrific casting
Phoned in voice acting
Average CG quality even for its day
So so story

Its just so horribly forgettable.

My nomination is Penguins of Madagascar. Underrated.
