Don't worry, Jason Schreier will tweet in a few hours to say he just left a secret meeting with secret devs to discuss the secret advantages that the PS5 has over the SEX. But neither Sony nor anyone will let us in on that secret, it's too powerful for us to handle.

I never personally attacked the Crytek guy. I thought it was strange that he spoke about consoles in Farsi but never in English. I would never question his technical ability or suggest that he's not a developer.
He discredited himself by taking back his own comments and I'm surprised that you are still bringing him up but not a lot.

I was surprised the Crytek Guy thread got 1,000 replies AFTER he retracted his statements. He discredited himself when he said a weaker GPU is better for devs than a stronger GPU, imo

I 100% agree that Sony was caught off guard and believe everyone should be able to see that. Hell, even Xbox insiders were shocked when Series X was revealed at The Game Awards and showed off the actual console form factor. Series X has been in development since 2016 as they started very early to make sure they didn't have any screw ups.
Starting earlier is always better than starting later. Despite being a 100% PS4/PS4 Pro fanboy since mid-2014 and being very critical of Xbox One for the entire generation, im all in for Series X as it's going to be a far more capable console and better overall pound for pound.
PlayStation 5 will be amazing due to their first party exclusives but third parties will struggle on it especially with Ray Tracing which for me, is my number one priority for next generation in regards to visuals. I personally want the best overall and for next generation, Series X is going to give me that.

He also didn't talk bad about the PS5 at all, if you're less powerful well you're less powerful that's just the way it is.

I do know dealer. He'd been saying for 6 months before the SEX reveal that there's no chance the PS5 will be more powerful and he was right. He's a Xbox fan but at least he doesn't make up BS like a lot of his type did before the spec reveals.

Most devs probably don't know shit (lack of knowledge, experience, etc.) and have shitty analytical skills. I'm not in game dev but I've done development work before and all software engineers/programmers can code to whatever extent when told what to do and they can form an opinion on a matter; but not everyone in field has the same level of knowledge, experience and critical thinking. It's like listening to a random doctor who is a general practitioner on a medical issue. If you don't know shit, he/she is the best you've got but just because they are a doctor doesn't mean everything they say is true or has value. They have gaps, biases, limitations or whatever. Which is why it's often suggested you get second-opinions. There's different debatable levels of expertise like you would probably listen to a lead heart surgeon over a general practitioner over heart advice. Similarly in game development, it's better to listen to some kind of technical lead who really understands everything over some random low tier dev. Though keep in mind even people with high credentials can be wrong, my point is just that not everyone who is in the industry has a (arguably) credible opinion.

He has heard PS has cooling issues, this has been rumored more than once, I dont see how people can keep dismissing this. There is no reason why Sony would not have talked about it more when Cerny did or showed off the box like Xbox did if this wasnt somewhat true. Theres even rumors of Sony having to spend more on the cooling than they wanted to. The man is speaking from experience and also his sources which are first hand, I get ppl want to dismiss it because it hurts "their box" but he has no reason to lie.

What is Chris Grannel working on. I want to see it... Sadly the only reason that Xbox cast or Xbox fans gives Grannel any clout, is because he worked at Sony, funny how that works. So yes, that's his pedigree right there, many years ago he worked at Sony.... Cooling was a major concern thoughout development, this is well known and even was addressed in Cerny's talk. Nobody is dismissing that. Is it that hard to believe that maybe they got it under control in the end?
