I'm hoping Bale retires or just goes away

either one I'm really happy with.

Nolan saved the Bond franchise without even making a Bond movie.

Solo, you can send your thank you letter to WB's Burbank lot.

This thread is really making me hate the lot of you.

You'd think you'd know better Mr. DM but apparently I was wrong and you're nothing more than a fanboy.

I am dissapointed and quite infuriated.

Guards, take him away. See that some harm comes to him.

Exactly, don't know how many times I have to repeat this. Bond is a PRODUCER-controlled franchise. And by producers, I mean Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, not the nobody quoted in this article. Nolan has complete creative control on his films at WB. He would have anything but that working for EON on Bond. It makes absolutely no sense. Not to mention that it seems likely at this point that Mendes will return.

If he was likely to return, you'd think Mendes wouldn't keep saying "I don't know about doing another Bond, I put everything I had in this one" etc. Could be playing hardball with the producers but either way he hasn't been jumping up and down about directing Bond 24.

Lots of directors.

Maybe they'll get Francis Ford Coppola.

Coppola mostly does independent work now.

He's never gonna recreate the greatness of Godfather or Apocalypse Now, but his indie work >>> director for hire work (Jack, The Rainmaker, etc.)

This reminds me of the little kid who wants to put ice cream on his pizza because they're both awesome, without realizing that they don't go together.

I don't want nolan near Bond.

He will end up doing one though.

why not? Give some decent directors the work from time to time. Solace and Skyfall were both awful mainly because bad directing. At least Skyfall has interesting characters to keep up the interest.

No caves in bond for him to climb out of tho...what nolan gonna do?

On a serious note, keep him away from the franchise. His action scenes are the worst ever. I can't even imagine how a bond inspired fist fight would look like. #puke

I don't particulary care about the director for the next installments. Just keep Daniel Craig, Judi Dench and the current direction.

i dont want james bond to be some emo

keep nolan where he is, he pumped his last bit of talent into inception. DKR is the beginning of the decline

Well seeing as Skyfall is basically a Nolan Batman era 'megamix' it would be a good fit.

Might as well get the real thing in. But I think Nolan would seriously clash with with Barbara Broccoli.

bond 25 ends with bond getting a new name.....

or does he? turns out that his pen was on auto-write with a pen-writing update that bond installed months before. was it really bond who signed his new name certificate?

I'm not a huge Zimmer fan, but honestly there's nothing more forgettable and bland than the soundtracks of Bond movies, main theme aside. I can't see how bringing in Zimmer wouldn't be an improvement.

Thank you jett for confirming what I've long suspected, that you haven't watched the Bond movies. Forgettable and bland? John Barry's work on Bond is better than anything Zimmer has ever done.

Let someone else direct the action scene, problem solved.

I'm in. The Dark Knight may very well be James Bond film if not for the settings.

I hope it doesn't happen.

Would rather see Nolan work on something that isn't a franchise.

Lord know he doesn't need any more pull to make what he wants.

Exactly this.

Get him making more fun, original stuff like Memento and The Prestige (i know that was adapted but you know what I mean).

And stop with this Idris Elba nonsense, Craig is signed on for two more films.
