Hope they do the MGS HD with 2 and 3 but also include a ported version of Twin Snakes. Alot of people hate on it but the PS1 graphics of the original have not aged well. The biggest downside is that its not only crossing system generations, its crossing platforms as well.

Dude?? These are being updated and including multiple games in one version. Totally worth it. After even seeing HD videos of the god of war collection theres no way id want to play the old ps2 disc.

How can it be? They seem to be setting up a brand, they don't really have the material to do that on their own. Sly Collection won't do well. Team ICO Collection will probably be a bit of a hit. That's about it. Doesn't seem worth setting up "Classics HD" for.

I'm not afraid to admit that I didn't really become much of a "hardcore" gamer until around 2004, and didn't fnd out about obscure stuff like Okami and Shin Megami Tensei until around 2005-2006. I missed out on a hell of a lot of awesome games, and nowadays, it's hard to find some older games for a low price, and even if I do, I still have to deal with the terrible graphics due to having to play them through a HDTV with component cables, not to mention the fact that I'm probably busy with a new release anyway.

A set of games like this would give me a great incentive to go back and rediscover the classics.

Funnily enough, I actually own good condition copies of both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, but have still never played them. I just don't have the time when there's other newer games out.

Folks here seem to be forgetting what a difference the HD graphics are...

Personally I'd love more HD collections, especially for the series I missed in the PS2 area. But I'm not above double dipping for some series (MSG, Ico/SotC, FF).

But seriously. The original devs won't take part in the porting. And people who have never played the games will now get to experience them. Without having to complain about out dated graphics, or buying overpriced copies on amazon. The GOW collection was the 1st time I played the series.

Hopefully these re-releases are Greatest Hits right out of the box ($30), but I doubt it. They'll probably charge $20 per game, and then watch them flop. (GOW was $40, Sly is $60).

The hell? I'm just seeing this. I realize it's 3 games but these games are old as balls, that price is too damn high. My enthusiasm just got dampened.

GoW Collection was born out of a special edition questionnaire, it was intended primarily for fans of the series, not for people who never played it.

It might be a nice by-product of removing BC, but these HD Collections are not to rape the user base. I have a BC unit, have played both the GoW games and got the Collection, I have played both Ueda games, and will buy the Collection.

I'm not saying Sony are pure and honest, I'm sure they're as sick and twisted as any company that size, however, I do believe this one thing, HD Collections and the removal of BC is not directly connected and was not that premeditated and cynical.

I would rather sony get to work on PS2 emulation rather than cashing in by making us rebuy games we already own.

I have a bc PS3 and I WANT MORE COLLECTIONS!! Actually all I want is ICO and SoTC...and sly, which I'm gettin And the people who are making this are probably not the ones who could make bc happen. Actually classics HD and BC aren't mutually exclusive, bluray players play dvds and many people still double dip on Remastered blurays, BELIEVE.

the gc ports were hideous,resident evil 1 & zero didnt even get 16:9 widescreen and ran in letterbox mode,okami and metroid prime 1+2 were even downgraded

at least these ps2 games get better graphics and framerate,not to mention the better image quality and colour thanks to hdmi
