After watching yesterdays episode of Clownfish TV, a poppular channel that focuses on rants of pop colture, they made the argument that Playstation might be on it's last generation.
To summurise the video for the lazy ones:
What do you people think?
- The Playstation brand is in decline in Japan.
- It's not just because stock shortages.
- Japanese gamers are discouraged by:
- The closure of Sony's Japanese studios
- Focus on Western games
- Increased censorship, disproportionete to othe competitiors, that seems to target more Japanese games.
- They look for alternatives that are more lenient when it comes to censorhip, like Xbox and especially PC.
- The Japanese market offered unique games that do wonders for the variedy of the Limbrary of each platform.
- Steam Deck Reservations are above expectation there. That's most likelly becaue:
- The Japanese PC Gaming scene is growing rapidly.
- The Japanese always loved them handhelds.
- This brings back the days of PC-98, where there was a boom of japanese PC games, and the deck just makes those portable.
- Steam Link still sucks...
Are they exagerating?
Do we see again the arogant Sony?
