Fumble aside I haven't seen Pryor run with that kind of determination before. Seems to be playing with a purpose. Hopefully that doesn't mean more mistakes.

He really really wants to win more swag so he can sell it

This might be the Stanford in me, but W A T? Maybe it's just how you have first and second tier being pretty darn elite and then have a really, really huge third tier.

How many teams would have have in each tier?

Tier 1: 8
Tier 2: 10-15
Tier 3: 30 teams? 20 teams?

I can't see putting Cal anywhere near the top 30-40 teams in the country on a regular basis despite a really good decade. I know Florida is the cat's meow for the past 10 years, and maybe your listing is more of a modern listing, but I can't put them in my top 10. Just not enough tradition for me. I could see them sliding quite a bit with Muschamp. And I'd certainly put both FSU and Miami ahead of them.

I guess it seems your list is a mix of old school, with some of the not so great recent teams dropped out (like Nebraska), but Michigan is still there?
:lol Really? You object to my lumping Cal with the likes of BC, Utah, and Minnesota?

Thought about putting Nebraska in the top tier, but it's not quite a destination job the way Michigan still is.

There are plenty of arguments to be made about tradition, conference affiliation, recent history, etc. Ultimately, my main criterion was gut feeling. i.e. if coach z left school x for school y, would you nod your head and say, "yup"? Then school y is higher tier. Would you scratch your head and call it a lateral move? Then they're the same tier. Would you go "buh?" Then school y is lower tier.

Tier 2 is probably 15-16 strong, though I didn't actually count. Tier 3 is probably 25 or more. There are a lot of teams at that kind of middle level.

This reminds me of Super Smash Bros. discussions.

This is the most accurate description of all ranking discussions in college football ever.

Well this game's going to chug if they can't even make that call on the field.

Refs are hesitant to kill a play on a questionable call in CFB. They seem to let it play and fix it with review afterwords more often then not.
