Isn't Golesh a done deal? He's pretty good
I don't think it is a done deal at all. My understanding is he was offered and then one of our local guys tweeted it out that it was done. I have heard from a few people that Golesh wasn't happy. His wife is from the northwest Arkansas so that helps. He might be waiting to see if he gets more offers. I will be happy with the hire if it is him.

So far today, I've pulled for:

Mississippi State (lost)
Georgia Tech (lost)
Texas A&M (lost)

Maybe tomorrow I should pull for Bama

insider at 247 Neil McCready is saying Florida and Sumrall have agreed to terms.

Looks like Auburn is left with DJ Durkins. Lot of Auburn fans think highly of him, but I just don't see it. He's an ok DC except with pass defense where his secondary tends to get burned a lot. His time as Maryland's head coach is mostly negative.

I'm seeing another four years of misery

Turned on Miami vs Pitt and I see a half empty stadium. Guess those folks only care about Steelers and Eagles. Personally I find pro football very boring in most cases.

Fuck Bitch Brainfart, and fuck Mark Stoops even harder. Getting fucking dick-rolled by a team with no running back and locker room problems.

Because of his history, I don't know why I believe him, but I do think he is being sincere when he says his decision will be based on family over football. I can see some reasons to go to LSU for a better shot at sustained success. I would expect the rebuild to be much quicker based on athletes following him (good luck Ole Miss if that happens). Also, he has experience firsthand how quickly a fanbase can turn on you if you have a couple of down seasons and Ole Miss would be no exception. Unfortunately, what loyalty there was in college sports has eroded even more.

I hope he stays at Ole Miss but even if he does, I expect this to be a conversation again next year. Especially if Alabama comes calling.

Well, that's a dif angle there. What was the down? They would've been close enough to just prob just sneak it in next play. Unless, you're Bush Hamden and you call an ill-fated wr sweep the next play. Although, it did look like he had control when the ball first crossed the plane. That's a half a step. It would depend on the call on the field. Prob not enough to overturn.

Good win. Great night running the Baugh.

Terrible season. Good ending.

I honestly think someone will take Baugh in the portal.

I'm ready for this season to be over myself. Actually my interest in college sports overall is waning. NIL and transfer portal is ruining it

I think you can have one not both. Transfer portal choose your school. Or nil get the money.

No more pay to transfer.

I agree. Think the courts said NIL had to be allowed so kill transfer portal or put some conditions on it for specific situations.

Is it a threat or just telling the truth? Staffs leave with a coach all of the time. I have news for Ole Miss, that roster is gone too. Ed O back to LSU as DC? I notice it is only the offensive staff. 👀

Ole Miss is always one great year away from having to start over because no one in their right mind is going to stay there long term. I tend to notice the crowds in stadiums on TV and even this year when Ole Miss is looking great, I see so many empty seats. There fan support just isn't there.

On another note.....sorry, reinking reinking but it looks like Auburn took Golesh

edit: oh...I see it was posted.

I was told he was Arkansas.

That's what everyone thought. Then Sumrall opted for UF over AU and Auburn had to go with Golesh. Dominoes

"I was hoping to complete a historic six season run with this year's team by leading Ole Miss through the playoffs, capitalizing on the team's incredible success and their commitment to finish strong, and investing everything into a playoff run with guardrails in place to protect the program in any areas of concern," Kiffin said in his statement.

"My request to do so was denied by Keith Carter despite the team also asking him to allow me to keep coaching them so they could better maintain their high level of performance. Unfortunately, that means Friday's Egg Bowl was my last game coaching the Rebels."

If you leave your school for a hated rival then this is what happens.

That first sideline reporter dude that called him a hoe should have stood his ground when Kiffin confronted him and try to draw and punch and get paid :)
He explained it to him in the press room and lane didn't appreciate it.

Ol' miss should hire Brian Kelly.
