Does this mean I can sue GAF for identity theft? Where's that one lawyer that posts in here? I think he's from Florida or something...
I think you're looking for Gondo.

Aren't there any other fans of a WAC team out here? It kind of sucks there's no Nevada or Hawaii fans to talk smack too. :'(

I grew up in Hawaii but went to UW, so UW would be 1A and Hawaii 1B as far as my loyalties go. I can only catch the games they play on ESPN, etc. though because I can't afford the Gameplan package :(

Hell to the no. I'm a "lawyer" in that I've passed the bar, but you've shown yourself to be infinitely more qualified than I am in many law-age threads around here.

I'm just some C student hoping to use my law degree to cash in on a non-legal field. :)

P.S. Thanks to Pristine_Condition for the new avatar.

GAF NCAAFB Pick'em 2011

The Pick'em is here again this year, and works similarly to last year's, with a few tweaks. Here are the rules:

  • 15 games will be selected by me each week
  • Players pick a winner for each game and how much they think they will win by (margin of victory)
  • You can get up to 2 points per game: 1 point for picking the winning team, and another point if your margin of victory prediction is within 3 of the actual margin of victory
  • Maximum of 30 points each week
  • Each player's lowest week will be automatically dropped
  • Anybody can play, just post your picks!

So without further ado:

PREDICTIONS FOR THE 2011 NO MORE FUCKIN' AROUND BLUE DEVIL TOUR OF DOOM!!!!

Sat, Sep 03 Richmond Durham, N.C. 7:00 p.m. w-17+(we lose this game, flush the whole fucking thing)

Sat, Sep 10 Stanford Durham, N.C. 3:30 p.m. L-21 (we keep it within 10 until the 4th and then the wheels come off)

Sat, Sep 17 Boston College * Chestnut Hill, Mass. 12:30 p.m. L-7 BC has injuries, I like our upset chances and their secondary sucks. BC is tough at home, I think we lose a close one)

Sat, Sep 24 Tulane Durham, N.C. TBA W-21+ Its Tulane. LOL

Sat, Oct 01 Florida International Miami, Fla. 6:00 p.m. W-7 or less I think we can beat FIU, but no means an easy game

Sat, Oct 15 Florida State * Durham, N.C. TBA L-21+ We get rolled

Sat, Oct 22 Wake Forest * Durham, N.C. TBA W-21+ We roll Wake

Sat, Oct 29 Virginia Tech * Durham, N.C. TBA L-13 We played VT really close in Durham in 09. I see a repeat here.

Sat, Nov 05 Miami * Miami, Fla. TBA W-10 I think the U is rocked by ineligible players, we finally catch them after 3 years of coming up short.

Sat, Nov 12 Virginia * Charlottesville, Va. TBA w-7 Close game like last year, but not as high scoring. Could go either way, but I'll take our offense

Sat, Nov 19 Georgia Tech * Durham, N.C. TBA L-10 I don't know what to make of GT this year, historically we play them poorly in November. If we get out of this game without one of our players taking another knee injury, I'll consider it a win.

Sat, Nov 26 North Carolina * Chapel Hill, N.C. TBA W-10 I think this year could be a disaster for UNC with all the distractions. They are certainly more talented than we are but at this point I think they just want the season to end.

Duke 8-4, BELIEVE IT!

Auburn (even though not nearly the same team as last year) >>> Ole Miss.

But take a look at the Florida QBs trying to audible plays. The crowd was spotting it, and whenever they did the place got even louder, often causing Florida to screw up.

Let's not get crazy and assume the UF QBs weren't going to screw up on their own.

Just looking at this briefly it appears that SEC fans are correctly picking Oregon and Boise while brainwashed inferior conference people are not.

I just never understood the hype on UGA. Murray's the total Hype QB. Did some ok things, but is not the next Peyton Manning. Down to a DE and a freshman RB as their #1 and #2 RB options.

Oregon and LSU will be a tight game, with hilarious hijinks sure to happen. Can't wait to see what JLee will do. I know Oregon's missing their CB, but is their QB going to be out or not?

Then again, I'm also putting Ole Miss and Auburn down as losses.

I can't predict too many Auburn wins this year. Nope, don't see it.

I didn't. I do not underestimate Les Miles LSU defenses when he has time to prepare (bowl games and openers).

Also, the loss of those two marquee Boise receivers should give the UGA defense a chance to slow them down. Boise nearly lost to a mediocre VT team last year and didn't even win their conference. SEC defenses (even UGA's) should provide a much stiffer challenge than VT's did last year.

I've escaped the brainwashing! I hate the SEC and picked against LSU and Georgia.

And I picked Ole Miss to lose as well. But not Auburn, because 2011 Utah St. is not even remotely the same team that took Oklahoma to the wire last year. They are going to be awful this year.

Well, it's not like I could pick Oregon to win a game or something.

I have watched John Chavis "coach" against spread offenses before. It never goes well, ever.

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - Duron Carter has been admitted as a student to Alabama and could be at practice as early as today, according to a source close to Carter.

Carter (6-4, 210) had his enrollment delayed due to a transcript issue with a prior school. He was living in Tuscaloosa since July, and training with his father, ESPN analyst and former NFL star Cris Carter, during the wait.

Carter transfers from Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College where he caught 44 passes for 690 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also played as a freshman at Ohio State where his father was a star wide receiver.

We'll see. They should still be absolutely stacked talent-wise on defense, but I'll admit that a lot will depend on their offense being able to keep UO's off the field.
