Complete List of Announced Wii Games, Part 2

Well, we had this thread going for a while. But with the, er, flood of announcements over the past couple weeks, and with Wii3 over with, it seemed time to make a new thread with an updated list (I would just bump the old one but sp0rsk doesn't like that).

So! Here it is, a complete list of announced Wii games -- culled from a variety of sources, most of these come from Nintendo's post-E3 press release, NCL's post Wii3 press release, and Nintendo of America's current Wii games list (which only goes up through March 2007).

Bolded games are exclusives.

Games with a highlighted asterisk are those that Nintendo of America has confirmed for release through March 07.

Enjoy.

Of these exclusives, how many are actually games and how many non games (like nintendogs, brain-age)

that will be an interesting number, can anyone calculate that?

Compile Heart's working on the Wii? Nice. Hope they buy the Puyo franchise from Sonic Team. One of their members is the creator of Puyo Puyo.

Yeah I still don't get why Compile sold Puyo Puyo to Sega. It was a sad day in Puyo Puyo history, especially when you look at what Sega did to Puyo Puyo.

But I will check out their new game!

-Sword of Legendia

Wait, what?
Hopefully it doesn't come off as dated as Tales of Legendia was (Rag on it all you want, but you can't tell me that if it were released between Destiny 2 and Symphonia it wouldn't be considered a gem.)

What's weird is that in Legendia, the hero fights with his fists. Maybe a Chloe side story?

It was a sad day in Puyo Puyo history, especially when you look at what Sega did to Puyo Puyo.

What'd they do? Add fever mode and a gay skeleton?

it pains me greatly that this is almost certainly not in the vein of king's field.

in spite of Nintendo's constant proclamations, there are disturbingly few "epics" on that list. sigh.

No, because there are no non-games on this list. Nintendogs and Brain Age are games. Touch Dictionary is a non-game (or, in proper English, it isn't a game).

I don't know about you but the new Puyo style and characters just don't have the same charm as the old Puyo Puyo games by Compile. And the gay skeleton was from the old Puyo Puyo not the new. :p

SEGA and Compile akways shared rights iirc. Then Compile died. :(

Well this is somewhat true, Compile had Puyo to themselves at first, then Sega bought them but they were still around, then they died. :(

I cant seem to find it anywhere, anyone know the official US Launch lineup including 1st party titles?? Is My First Wii a launch title? hmmm...thanks anyone:D

The only US 1st party launch titles are Wii Sports (pack in), Zelda and Excite Truck.

There's 3 more games that i'm aware of that belong here with mid to late 2007 releases, 2 sequels and an original IP (not sure if it's a license or not though). Also, where's Rainbow 6?

Raving Rabbids isn't exclusive.

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
Wait, Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast was moved to Wii?

And is that Kirby game the one scheduled for GC?

Are both of those changes official?

I asked that in another thread, and they said that Super Paper Mario, Donkey Kong, and Kirby were all moved too the Wii. Really, I think that most of those games will be excuses to delay Mario and Super Smash Bros Brawl even more, I bet most of those will come out by the end of June.

Nintendo invented the pixel...
That's a very impressive list of games, but Capcom needs to stop being stupid and start supporting more than the underdog (see: Xbox 360 support) by announcing more games for the Wii.

I'm supposed to believe Nintendo is gonna leave itself hanging without Mario for Holiday 2007? Pfft, I expect a delay. As well, I know SSB:M will sell well but I'm sure they'll opt for the holiday for Mario. What else do they have potentially for fall/holiday 2007?

They need no excuse to delay Super Smash Bros. Brawl. They just need to hold off on pictures of whatever other third-party characters they're adding, then show them at some strategic date and say "we're working on balance issues with these characters, but the game will be ready for release on X date." Fans will go nuts anyway, myself included, and see the date in a good instead of bad light.

When they arent.

As I understand it, Raving Rabbids is a "next gen exclusive" - it will appear on handhelds and the PS2, but of the three next gen systems only Wii will get a version.

Prince of Persia - no details forthcoming. Could be a proper exclusive, could be a version of a future PoP title
Splinter Cell - Multiplatform. Wii version has revised control scheme
Blazing Angels - Dunno. Likely to be the same as Splinter Cell, Ultimate Alliance etc.

When they arent.

The publishers stated that they were building original, exclusive non-ported games under those names for the system. I bolded them based on that. If you can present information to the contrary, please do so, and I'll change it. If the games get released and don't have the exclusive tag on the packaging, I'll change it based on that, too. But for the moment, the publisher's word rules.

You realize, right, that you just bolded a bunch of games that weren't even bolded in the original list?

Sadness (Nibris) is missing ;-)

Because it's not a game.

Games worth buying, from what I've seen before (Metal Slug is only there because I never got to play those games too much):

Resident Evil: Umbrella Corp Chronicles
Wing Island
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Wii Sports
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Super Paper Mario
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
ExciteTruck
Batallion Wars 2
Sonic and the Secret Rings
Metal Slug Anthology
Red Steel (eh, it's a maybe, but it has the potential to be on this list)

The games that I'm personally interested in (some of these are tentative, pending more information/media):

-Trauma Center: Second Opinion
-Untitled Konami Action Adventure Game 1
-Untitled Konami Action Adventure Game 2
-Untitled Konami RPG
-Heroes
-Sword of Legendia
-Super Mario Galaxy
-Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
-Super Paper Mario
-Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn
-Forever Blue
-Disaster: Day of Crisis
-Sonic and the Secret Rings
-Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
-Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors
-Rayman: Raving Rabbids
-Prince of Persia

Bolded the ones that are definite buys.

I certainly hope we see Konami reveal some of those titles soon, as well as new announcements from Capcom (they said they have more!) and Namco Bandai (they have a bunch more coming... hopefully some good ones!).
