Confirmed "enhanced" content ready for PS4 Pro on Nov 10

oh, Helldivers?

I can't see that game performing better than it does, but 4K must be nice on it.

Really need to see 60 fps Alienation, man.

It's funny how the two most requested games (Bloodborne, Witcher 3) probably won't be getting the Pro treatment.

Both games just have no development tail left in them -- both studios are well onto their next projects. Witcher 3 might've received it if the Pro had released in Spring this year, as there were still patches and stuff being worked on. There might be a crew still working on addressing bug fixes in Witcher 3, but I doubt the team (if it exists) is big enough to address slight re-engineering to the entire game's engine to make it run on the new hardware, let alone address potential problems that might arise from making that level of alteration to the PS4 game's code.

Bloodborne would be incredible to see enhancements for, but From has already dealt its range of basic enhancements to the quality of the game and released one big DLC for it and even released it's entire next project (Dark Souls III) and first DLC for that as well. I know they're handled by different teams, but that must be an indication that the Bloodborne folks have long moved onto their next thing and are pretty busy working on whatever it is.

I guess it doesn't help the disappointment as these two titles are some of the best on the system and could actually show some real genuinely loved enhancements, but them's the brakes, I think. :/

Though it releases a few days after PS4 Pro, I'm hoping Watch Dogs 2 is ready for it at launch.

Isn't a game released after the Pro required to have a Pro mode?

No excuse for Bloodborne when Sony has direct control over that. If From Software doesn't want to do it then Japan Studio could.
Really depends on just how much of a hand Japan Studio had in actually developing the game. I honestly think they would've confirmed it by now if anything was happening or that could be done, as Knack (a Japan Studio title) of all things is getting work done on it for the Pro. I have a feeling that Japan Studio may have been more in a producer role rather than a co-developer.

Knack getting a Pro patch ahead of Bloodborne really puts it into perspective, whatever the reasons for it are.

Knack is Cerny's game, makes sense for it to get a Pro patch.

I can imagine him and his team guineapigging Knack to see how efficient Pro is and how much work it is to push a Pro upgrade.

I just watched the DigitalFoundry video summing up EGX (with dark10x), and they mentioned that they noticed worse framedrops in Infinite Warfare on the Pro version than the PS4 version. That's really something I really hoped wasn't the case. Wish devs would use the Pro to stabilize their games, rather than chase 4K.

The leaked docs said that Sony will not allow a game on Pro to run worse than on PS4.

I hope sony is holding out for last minute mega marketing for next week. So far they have barely announced any first party games getting pro patch which is worrying. There is suppose to be a pro even next week in London right?

Yes.

Can't wait to see what the pro can do for VR. Hope more games have similar improvements. Batman already looks nice but would love to see how it looks when pushed a bit more.

Read the as Battlefront for a second. Now I'm sad.

Cool, at EGX I asked them if they had a Pro patch coming and they said yes but couldn't talk about the details.

Good to see super-sampling being used, it should really help PSVR games look as good as possible.

I thought they already confirmed no improvements that could offer any advantages in multiplayer? That would rule out any resolution or framerate benefits.

No to framerate going from 30 to 60, yes to anything and everything else. This misconception needs to end, do people think Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered will all only benefit in their single player modes ?

They can fix AA etc. But not go from 30 fps to 60. See Paragon for example.

True, developers can't make a deliberate change to framerate, like make a game go from 30fps to 60fps for example but a game with an unlocked framerate might run more stable, thanks to the faster CPU clock speed.

So Battlefield 1 for example, it runs at 60fps on PS4 but can drop into the 40's when under load. Now on PS4 Pro it might run at a more stable 60fps.

But only for games with Pro Patch of course, as only those games have access to the Pro's extra CPU speed.
