What about Bluetooth? Can't even connect my wireless earphones to my PS4 for fuck's sake.
Well, getting it right would be releasing the original PS4 with a non-shitty wi-fi component.sony getting everything right
If you have a PS4 you know it didn't say the brand frequency and there are one option instead 2.4Ghz.
5Ghz supports higher bandwidth and is less susceptible to interference from other access points broadcasting on 5Ghz. However it is pathetic through walls and therefore has less range than 2.4Ghz.
Wired > wifi. Always.
Cute but.... Should of been in the first one. I can't clap for stuff like this tbh. Since I'm wired now, this is good to know because this basically confirms that neo will have it as well and I'll possibly get that once mines officially kicks the bucket.

Should of
But is it N or even AC? This is the real question.
As someone who is tech-lingo-illiterate, what does this mean to me?
I don't know why people made out it was such a big deal in the first place. The 2.4hz did the job fine .
Let's try again. That doesn't necessarily mean anything though.
It's great for same-room wireless. Not so much if it's in another room.
But is it N or even AC? This is the real question.
Faster speeds for WiFi... less range... of course wired have better of both.As someone who is tech-lingo-illiterate, what does this mean to me?
I have only 1 wall between the router and the ps4 that ok to properly use the 5ghz?5Ghz supports higher bandwidth and is less susceptible to interference from other access points broadcasting on 5Ghz. However it is pathetic through walls and therefore has less range than 2.4Ghz.

There are any 5Ghz wifi adapter that is not N or AC???But is it N or even AC? This is the real question.
Better late than never. Great stuff.

Yeah, you only have to buy a new console for it :/

5GHz radio is something that should have been there since launch.
Definitely not disagreeing on that, but Sony always seems to be a generation behind on wifi. Didn't the OG PSP only have Wireless B?[/QUOTE]
Think it only used Dial-up.
$50 no-contract/carrier-less phones have 5GHz WiFi. Sony deserves zero recognition for this. This should have been there day 1.

LOL no. Your guesses mirror mine in your last few posts. It's easier to support HDMI 2 given a TEE than it is a 5 Ghz WiFi.Technically the old school wireless A waas 5GHz, but nothing uses that anymore. Modern 5GHz is N or AC only
Maybe the OG will get a Jeff Rigby style update to unlock 5GHz
... which is why I also invested in a powerline adapter.Except in terms of convenience, yeah.
