Damn son, the conservatives worship reagan like jesus.
Star Trek: emphasized morality, honor, abiding by a strict code of conduct, and problem solving in a science fiction setting that inspired real world innovations; a strong cultural celebration of excellence. Portrayed the Cold War struggle as a conflict between the democratic Federation (USA) and the authoritarian, collectivist Klingons (the Soviet Union), correctly forecast the eventual winner.
Wow conservapedia too crazy to be true. Apparently Star Trek is number 13 of the Greatest Conservative TV Shows
And that magazine cover is super creepy.
The Federation was an extremely socialist government, to the point where the very concept of money was downright offensive to humans. Furthermore, the only "capitalist" race in Star Trek--the Ferengi--started off as villains in the early TNG episodes before becoming comic relief pn DS9. --[[User:AdamDiscordia|Yours in Christ, Adam Discordia]] 00:08, 26 May 2011 (EDT)
Sounds like Star Trek should be downgraded to "Debatable Whether Conservative." Please feel free to move it ... but "Trekies" may not like that!--Andy Schlafly 00:26, 26 May 2011 (EDT)
Aye. They got rid of money. TOS was actually started off as a protest of war and the US involvement in foreign affairs. That's why the "Prime Directive" is to not interfere with other cultures. Ayzmo 20:38, 4 October 2011 (EDT)
I could and should write a major critique of Star Trek as not only being anti-Conservative but anti-American. Also anti-Common Sense. Star Trek has many episodes that cater to the worries of the Left, from overpopulation to gay rights, but more so is that it is the future according to the Left. This is their idealized vision of the future. Where there is no famine, no poverty, no greed. Everyone works to "better oneself." What they don't explain is how and why. Liberalism, in various forms, is replete throughout the franchise. I could easily do an article about it. --Wayfinder 20:00, 8 December 2011 (EST)

Any idea on it Gene and the other ST creators were on the right or left?
Those two teens are totally banging each other.
Isn't the number of conservatives shrinking with each passing generation? Seems like a tough sell
A purity ring offered for each subscription !
That girl on the cover is hot.
Those two teens are totally banging each other.
If not, send blue eyed girl to me. We can make more blonde+blue eyed babies!
Seriously: This is why you don't have a two party system. Everything can be reduced to us vs them, our truth vs their lies. Facts? Who needs them!
Apparently Reagan Jr's piece is rehashed, credits to a mate of mine:

It's no different in a multi-party system. Our (Netherlands) government is made up of a coalitions of at least three party's, leaving the other 5 to 7 or so in the opposition. Nothing ever gets done because the entire time they have to make compromises to appease the opposition, who uses each and every opportunity to try and make the current government fall.
4 years later (or less if the opposition succeeds in destabilizing the goverment) some others get a go at ruling and nothing ever changes.
Well, maybe they change some laws to increase income from citizens, but that's about it.
Question of picking the lesser evil I guess, I doubt one is much better then the other at any rate.
Reagan did more harm to black America than any single man in the history of the universe.
wikipedia said:According to Paul Kengor, author of God and Ronald Reagan, Reagan had a particularly strong faith in the goodness of people, which stemmed from the optimistic faith of his mother, Nelle,[8] and the Disciples of Christ faith,[8] which he was baptized into in 1922.[9] For the time, Reagan was unusual in his opposition to racial discrimination, and recalled a time in Dixon when the local inn would not allow black people to stay there. Reagan brought them back to his house, where his mother invited them to stay the night and have breakfast the next morning.
That's not what I meant, though.
Look at Fox News. Look at the shit Republicans like to spout during their election cycles. There are so many flat-out lies that just go uncommented or, if somebody dares challenge them, that criticism is brushed away with "lying partisan commie hippie socialist Muslin!".
If somebody lied THAT boldy here in Germany the other parties would go into a frenzy and even coalition partners are sometimes at each other's throaths over stupid remarks.
That michael reagan guy is such a fraud. He isn't even Reagan's real son.
God, Reagan's throat flap looks like a penis. I have seen it and now I cannot un-see it.
This mag is weird propaganda sure. I've never understood the hate for the abstinence argument though. If you don't wanna have kids the most surefire way to do it is by not having sex. Not the world's fault you can't keep it in your pants.
Plus, and that's the irony of it all: the more comprehensive sexual education there is given to young people (i.e. including recommendation of condome use), 1) the later they start intiating in sexual activity, 2) the less sexual partners they have and 3) the increased usage of condoms occurs. The problem is when people want only abstinence to be taught, and nothing else. So basically what happens is people go "Well shit, I really want to have sex now, but condoms are evil, so I won't use them while I'm having sex tonight.".
The article is hilarious because it's by a guy who's normally a wishy-washy down the middle dude who runs one of the larger cartooning syndicates, but the article is all about how PC whiners are preventing honest cartoonists from drawing Obama like a monster with thick purple lips.

Fair enough. Geert Wilders tells the prime minister to "act normal, man!" in a debate and the next three hours of the debate then indeed are all the other party leaders telling him to have some damn respect and him going "Lol, made the headlines again suckers". They say that anyone who wants to raise taxes by a mere 3% is a "Marxist" even if they are a billionaire. And so on and so forth... And that's just the NEWS, when you go into shows like the O'Reily factor (the most popular in America) he states shit like how 70% of mosques practice in terrorist-like hateful speeches, that blacks organize to take all of the money from white people to give to their communities, and that if we raise taxes all of the "job creators" will leave.
So yeah, that's better.
Update: Kids on the cover are Danish
1. Explains the Aryan appearance
2. Its okay to bang the chick now (unless you're a Nazi)
Blehh I hate how the onion now seems more sane than actual digital magazines. Also I hate how i know now that conserative wiki exists thanks to this thread... I mean come on the atheism = obesity is batshit crazy!
Really? I've read an article that says differently.
