Conspiracy theories you believe?

Meh, through all the conspiration stuff I must say I really could think that only 9/11 is a huge setup, or at least a cover-up.
From what we know, we should believe:
1) A rich and suffering from some kind of kidney disease Saudi Arabian guy (not rich at the Bill Gates level but more like at the average Hollywood-superstar level) wanted to hit U.S.
2) The guy used all the best and notorious super wanted fanatic muslim terrorists in all the middle-east to plan the greatest terroristic attack of all time.
3) The plan went along smoothly for a year, and neither U.S. or foreigner secret agencies knew a thing.
4) The terrorists at 2) decided to train six or seven guys among them in the noble art of driving enormous airplanes to strike their target. They payed flying lessons for the pilot guys that trained driving some kind of Cessna in U.S.
6) From three different airports, the pilot guys took hostage a hundred of passengers and the plane crew by the use of a nail clipper.
7) Pilot guys were very skilled and talented, and used all the experience acquired in flying the Cessna for driving the three humongous planes for hours straight to their target, except for a plane, which seemed to vanish when striked by the air force.
8) All the air force that day was not patrolling the U.S.A. skies, because they were practiseing away.
9) Everything was unexpected and nobody heared a buzz about it before that happened.

And so, being all the guys involved in the attack Saudi Arabians, U.S.A. attacked Afghanistan because after few moments from the fact they knew for sure that the man behind the curtain was the rich guy at point 1), and they also knew were he was hiding all the time.
So, because of one foreign man, they declared war to a whole country and invaded it.
Not only, but the U.S.A. government decided also to invade a random country, ravaging it for years on the base of the forged evidence about supposed chemical weapon threat.

Doesn't sound all that logic to me.

Has anyone here seen a UFO before, as in something you can highly doubt was of this solar system? It is a freaky, yet fascinating sight.

That UFO's exist and are not manned by humans. After that, I have no idea what they are or where they came from, but they're out there, and I believe the government has been covering them up for quite a while. I think at some point though during the 40's and 50's they changed their strategy to a much, much more effective one in debunking UFO's - and thats disinformation.

It used to be you had some serious effort made by actual government officials you knew and could see, with Project Blue Book and the such, UFO sightings were in newspapers you get everyday. Then it simply stopped, because basically the government could not explain what was going on and tried hard to debunk them with ridiculous explanations that didn't fit (swamp gas???), and raised more questions than answers. So they officially "closed" Blue Book and the US government wasn't in the business of investigating these things anymore. Yeah, sure they did.

I think for the most part since then, those who are now running operations to do with this area are no longer elected people and very few in the official listed and named government know about it or have access too it, even the President. Kinda like the movie "Independence Day" when the secretary of defense said to the President ... "two words Mr President ... plausible deniability."

As for disinformation, they've done a good job with that. Most think of disinformation as just generic debunking, but its more than that. It's effectively turning UFO sightings into jokes, and they've done that. If you see one, you're a wacko, and you definitely shouldn't speak up on it. I remember after the Phoenix Lights occurred the mayor of Phoenix I believe came on stage with a mascot alien joking about it. Yeah, funny shit dude. I think at this point the government doesn't have to do much disinformation, but it was very likely prominent in the early days of actual UFO reporting. Nowadays its dismissed as a joke, and there's several people wanting attention who pull hoaxes that work on their own to make it seem laughable.

It's unfortunate things aren't taken more seriously. There's your fair share of A to Z conspiracy who jump from conclusion A, that there are UFO's, to Z that they're large preying mantis' abducting people for use of genetic material. If you stick with trying to prove A, then this whole field would be taken a lot more seriously.
There are so many Air Force Reports with UFOs that there is something going on. Like you said, it doesn't mean they are alien craft. When pilots can't identify aircraft in restricted air space, and the object can maneuver well beyond the best jets, something is definitely up. I know some craft like the F-117 scared people because nobody know what it was at first, but not every UFO report can fit in that situation. There's just way too many.

but at the same time, what sense does it make that aliens have stopped by dozens of times and done nothing? You would think they would already know everything they'd need to, and could probably get that information without ever entering our atmosphere.

I didn't say aliens were the source of these weird objects in the sky. They have to come from somewhere and we need to find out where they are from and exactly what they are.

Or they could be naturally occurring phenomena like the marfa lights.

UFOs could actually be somewhat plausible. Unfortunately, all UFO theories have been hijacked by total nuts who believe that "THE LIZARD PEOPLEZ IN DISGUISE ARE TRYING TO TAKE OVER DA WOLD AND SUCK OUR BLOOD"

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the alien shit. Man, just thinking about the possibilities, even if I'm pretty sure they aren't true, gets me excited.

See, there's some weird shit goin' on in the sky. No denying that. Hundreds of official reports, thousands of civilian sightings - in my mind, there is absolutely no way anyone could think otherwise. Things ARE up there, flying around all over the place. Are they aliens? Military secrets? Both? I dunno, but man, I would love to see something like that for myself.

I'll take it a step farther by saying I do think intelligent life has visited us on earth. Obviously, I haven't seen an alien, but the fact remains that actual military personnel with possible clearance to top-secret military sites have said, "We've got aliens". At the very least, we know for sure that SOMETHING is being hidden at Roswell. Aliens? Weapons? Radiation? Assorted confidential doodads? Whatever the case, we as civilians are clearly out of the loop.

And the beautiful thing about the whole "aliens have visited us thing" is that there's always the possibility of the aliens having technology of unimaginable power. Who's to say aliens haven't been around us for years, and are simply wearing invisibility cloaks? Maybe OUR light can't beam things up, but what about ALIEN light? Hell, I've never been outside the U.S - maybe some alien race is simply making the whole "Europe" thing up, and anyone who says they are from "Britain" is either a liar or an alien themselves.

So yes, perhaps I'm somewhat of a nut. But c'mon, you have to admit that sitting back and thinking about all of the possibilities is fun. Eye-opening, maybe? Perhaps a little... scary? My favorite theory is that we ourselves will create the first aliens sometime in the next thousand years, be they free-thinking robots or genetically unique organic lifeforms, and that they will have traveled back in time to all possible pasts and futures (thus explaining the current UFO sightings and those from ancient times) and will have, at some point in the infinity of time, interbred with all other species on Earth, leading to the incredible biodiversity we see today (as well as the unseen biodiversity of the whole universe). It's one hell of a mindfuck, sure, and every time I dwell on it I keep coming to the same horrible Animatrix-robots-destroying-humanity scene in my mind, but I still love it.

I don't buy it. Why would a dental assistant be a Truther? Surely they of all people know of the evils of fluoride.

SOMETHING DOESN'T ADD UP! That must mean there's a conspiracy afoot.

I used to believe, but when I look at documentaries and look at aircraft the US and Germany were working on in the WW2 era, I think what people are seeing are experimental craft. I am not saying that people from other worlds have never been here, but I think the majority of sightings are of earth origin.

Haha. That sounds like something out of Marathon Man.

Back on subject I think the first conspiracy theory I "understood," was that the one felt by the resident of New Orleans who thought the government caused the levees to fail. There you had a group of poor and impoverished who were seemingly forgot about while the water was rising. Under such dire circumstances, with absolutely no help from the government and in trouble because of a problem caused by inadequate infrastructure it almost makes sense to think someone caused it.

People in such situations I can understand when they stand firm that it's a conspiracy. But all the middle-class types with boring jobs and too much free time who believe in conspiracies I just don't get.

the only remotely conspiracy like thing i believe is that there had to be more to jfk's assassination than just some crazy guy shooting him from a window. we'll probably never know though. also after reading legacy of ashes, i pretty much will believe any ridiculous thing that anybody tells me about the cia, because it'll probably be more plausible than the actual events that the book describes

David Stern personally rigged the Boston/Lakers series as well as the Kings/Lakers series and many others. Also the Draft where the Knicks landed Ewing.

Magic Johnson does have a cure for AIDS.

Aliens have been here before.

So close.

Right on all of them, EXCEPT about Magic.

What if I said he doesn't have the cure for aids, but in fact DOESN'T HAVE AIDS at all?

Stern/NBA pay off Magic to go away so that the Air Jordan era can take flight... While making sure Magic is well compensated, becoming huge success away from b-ball and a lot richer than he would have been if stayed balling... While the league gets richer than if Magic would have stifled the Jordan era. Also, Magic feeling like his time was coming to an end Jordan would eventually replace him anyway, agrees to step down.

They come up with,"I'm sick, gotta go." Then a decade and a half later, people forget that he should have been dead 15 years ago.

Mystery solved.

Yeah, every demolition results in half of fucking Manhattan being covered in dust.

That was the stupidest argument like ever.

How many times have two buildings the size of the world trade center towres been demolished? At the same time... in an environment such as Manhattan which is basically a series of concrete corriders and channels.... where the dust can be concentrated?

Okay, how many single buildings the size of one of even one of the towers ever been demolished?

Zero. Never. None.

Never in the history of man has a building that size come down. Ever. Until that day.

Then take into account that it was 2 of them. Crashing down in a matter of seconds.

If you think the two biggest* buildings in the world can come down as fast as they did without creating that cloud, you either have no idea the size and scope of the volume of space these buildings took up.

You might have seen them in person before, but no way you truly grasped the true size of them.

*biggest =/= tallest

Ok, enough of the arguing about retarded stuff like 9-11.

Let's talk about a real, honest-to-God conspiracy that is going on right now in front of our very eyes: the BCS.

The six major college football conferences are conspiring to keep the little guy from ever sniffing a national title.

This is the benchmark that all modern conspiracies should aspire to. It's right out there in the open, everybody knows about it, and people complain, but there's nothing anybody can do about it! The people who have the incentive to keep it going are the same people who have the power to keep it going: the presidents and commissioners of the major conferences.

Even the President of the United States is powerless in the face of this dastardly conspiracy of evil.

Bump! Couldn't find anything more fresh about that topic.

I'm a sucker for conspiracy theories and aliens, so it's nothing unusual that after watching Moon Rising documentary I now totally believe that aliens have bases on the moon, and our missions to that place were far more important than "Let's spend millions of dollars for bringing some rock samples back to Earth".

Seriously, that photo taken during Apollo 17 mission (that NASA describes as "LRV Floor?" is just too much for my imagination:

AS17-135-20680.jpg

Pyramid on the moon, right there. Also, the full-color image of the moon is amazing too (proceed with caution, big one). So many bright spots! Never thought about why they alwas show it only in black & white before.

Here's the Aristarchus crater alone:

Aristarcus_CL_01.png

Some say that that's some sort of alien power plant, but I'd be happy if it's any form of alien life.

That's it, carry on.
and live in sweet ignorance

Man i'm gonna make this simple.

1 There is and always has been in play, a movement towards one world order, a global society.
2 People are being [mass media]manipulated purposefully on a level which has no precedent in human history.
3 Key Knowledge/history has been purged from our collective understanding.
4 We are in a pseudo matrix of our own creation.
5 there are organised groups of people who have more sway over global political and financial matters than we think.
6 there is nothing you or I can do about it, we all play the game, we were born into this.

I believe corporations already have developed alternative energy sources that could cheaply and efficiently power our civilization. But are holding off on their release because they make bank on non-renewable resources that we use currently.

So that way when shit hits the fan and the oil runs out they can charge out the ass until the last drop vanishes then, Oh-hey. Scientific breakthrough. We got these new micro hydrogen reactors.

I do think that the human race is much older than we know. I'm not fanatical about it but Michael Remo's books are a good read on the subject.

My God, it's so true!

Give this man a medal.

I believe this to be true:

1) That some UFOs are extra terrestrial spacecraft
2) That a UFO crashed in Roswell in 1947 and the US government or a private entity which is now in charge of researching this technology is now in possession of it
3) That there is a secret space program
4) That there are alien bases on the moon and in many places on this earth
5) That 9/11 was not perpetrated by Al-Qaeda or Osama Bin Laden

The recent string of hacker attacks are being stimulated and funded by the CIA, because the only outcome is less freedom on the internet.
