Season 2 > season 1 imo. Better progression, more memorable songs, and they did a fantastic job pivoting directions yet maintaining the premise of the show.

Netflix having it a week after the final episode airs is actually kind of amazing.

And since Josh is being discussed. Thought Bubbles. Damn. Hitting it close to home. Cutting deep.No No No No No No.

The way CBS and Netflix handled this was downright awesome. Here in Portugal (and more countries!) got the episodes on the same day they aired in the US. That's pretty much unheard of. I hope CBS and Netflix keep at it here!

I really hope this show becomes a big hit, whether on the CW or Netflix (like Breaking Bad did). It really deserves it.

A lot of people I know are turned off by the title, but damn if it isn't one of the best dramedies out there.

I worked on the subtitling for Netflix. When I first heard the project's name and theme I rolled my eyes. Boy, was I wrong.

I've recommended it to a lot of my friends, and a lot of the girls I've talked to get the first impression that the show will basically be about making fun of that "Crazy Girl" stereotype. While it certainly does have fun with it, it's so much more than that. It really delves into and deconstructs that archetype.

I can never seem to convince anyone though. Haha.

I feel you. One has to see it to fall for it, really.

It does so much more, though. What I really like in the shows are the relationships, especially Paula + Rebbeca. They're a great duo, excellent actresses, with roles that blend so well together despite the differences.

We have Rebbeca who "leeches off" Paula's kindness, but doesn't do it with ill intentions. She's just rather self absorbed.

We have Paula who lives through Rebbeca's romance and just hides her own problems. Doesn't want to be seen as weak, perhaps?

I love those two!

Besides:

What man did this? I don't want your filthy man ice!

Just finished watching season 2 through Netflix. This show is prettttty goooood. Sad Greg had to leave us, I related the most to him. Santa Anna Winds has been stuck in my head over the past two days.

Season 2 felt like three separate seasons jammed together. Pretty clear that they were just marking time after Greg left until they found a new character to replace him. The way they bailed out of the Brittany Snow storyline and got Josh back with Rebecca was super sloppy. The first four and last five episodes of the season were great though.

What he'd all of season 2 over the weekend. I think Ping Pong Girl might have been my favorite song.

The Math of Love Traingles and Remember that we Suffered are right up there too.

We'll Never Have Problems Again might be the best song of season 2.

But It Was A Shit Show, Santa Ana Winds, Math of Love Triangles, and Ping Pong Girl are very close.

So many good ones. Went with Santa Ana Winds for the lone poll just because it's the only one I've bought thus far from Season 2 and it's super clever and catchy.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Netflix is considering picking it up if The CW cancels after season 3.

Math of Love Triangles is probably an alltime fave, but Love Kernels, Friendtopia and Never Have Problems Again are all standouts.

Kinda annoyed that Crazy Ex-Girlfriend still isn't on Netflix in Canada.

Would like to binge it over the summer or something.

That deal only went into effect this season though so it's fair a lot of people still don't know about it. Before most of their shows didn't get put up until a day or two before the new season if not the day off which was incredibly annoying.

Just caught up on season 2. Amazing! I can't wait for season 3! I was really impressed with how things went in the finale and can't wait for a
fully unhinged Rebecca!

White Josh and Heather were the all stars, the only ones with clear heads on this crazy bunch.

Eh, I feel like White Josh needs some work, to be honest. He's too blandly normal for the rest of the cast, and while the characters say he's judgmental, he's also, like, usually right about things so it sort of comes off as a wash.

Also, (spoilers for the end of season 2)
I feel like Father Brah's "You date pretty girls to validate yourself" thing to Josh feels unearned. It doesn't feel like that's a part of Josh that we actually got to see, except for when he gets all swoony over the church coach (and that only happens after we've been informed that this is a character trait of Josh's).

Anyway I hope the series finale is titled
If I storm the gates of Heaven and overthrow God, will Josh's eternal soul be mine?

If you love Greg you want him as far away as possible.

Hope he can show up next season for an episode or two, though.

So... I might have forgotten this but Rachel has been a part of a CW Seed show called Very Mallory for a while now, like four years ago. O_o IDK if these season two episodes are new (haven't watched them yet) or something that was done back then.

Exactly, going away is the best thing for the character.

Well Josh immediately bounces from one relationship to the next. Valencia to Rebecca to Eyebrow girl to Rebecca to the Cute Coach(almost). As soon as hears about Father Brah finding validation in God, he runs to God. It felt like a call out to something that was there all along to me.

Yea, I agree. He went straight to Rebecca after what, 10 years with Valencia. And then did it multiple times this season.

I just watched the first episode of this with my wife and we loved it. So funny and fun. Glad we finally have another show to watch. (My wife has watched the office almost every day for the last 2 years.)

Also both women strongly remind me of my wife as she acts like both of them, and looks like the red head could be her sister lol so its even moreso entertaining.

Thought season 1 was much stronger as it was a heck of a lot more cohesive. This one really was all over the place in terms of storylines but it did have some fantastic bits and pieces. I'm surprised new boss guy didn't have more songs to him and they waaaay overplayed Hector's mom gag, especially since he didn't have those "I'm on to you scenes". The way they jumped the shark with that back from the past in the final episode also felt incongruent with the rest of the season.

I liked it a lot, had some pretty bold displays of anxiety and depression, second to Lady Dynamite. It did have a lot less of the "we're progressives" gags that just cracked me up, like the culturally insensitive taste buds or the only way to tear the pay gap is by point action through congress.

Ping pong was the best song. Heavy Metal one the worst.

The thing about Greg, was that he was able to match Rachel in terms of songs, and had some really good ones to him. Nobody filled that vacuum in season 2, but I'm glad he's out after the shots how, it would've made the show too cliché with the constant love triangle. What they could do is have him being the one stalked instead of Father Chan but Greg wouldn't put up with that bs. Also, it needed more Heather. Her parents were the best.

I agree WRT greg, his songs were consistently the strongest in the first season.

I like Greg, but he was sort of set up as the Bizarro Rebecca from the outset: She was an overworked, overachiever in New York and it was making her miserable and West Covina provides a more relaxed, casual atmosphere (and Josh just happens to live there). Greg is a slacker in West Covina and it was making him miserable. Having him stick around for too long because of True Love would sort of run counter to the show's philosophy.
