His post had nothing to do with that. He lol'd at the notion of the PS4 building hype.
He's right ,it came and went. Now people are talking about games out now like tomb raider or the upcoming bioshock.

He/She seems confident about what we're hearing about Durango. Maybe, just maybe it's not as bad as what some (And sometimes myself) are making it out to be?

Is that what you think or what you want the reality to be?
People who are really have access to the kit are people like Lherre. You don't see those people screwing around.
Nonetheless, enough with this nonsense. I should have added him to my IL a long time ago.

I think Sony nailed the reveal with the timing, info, and content to show. It lacked any huge surprises, but for the typical core gamer, I think it served it's purpose.
;p
Came and went, only people are super hyped to see what announcements or demos will follow, and a new dev(s) has been praising it every week. Of course people are going to be talking about the current new games, that doesn't mean the hype for the PS4 has evaporated.
Microsoft is most likely telling devs to not say games are on their next-gen box until the new console is announced.
Who's saying this? You?

Well it's...

Developer bias mileage may vary.
Dismissal? Can you point to a source. He was one of the developers that was positive after the reveal. What changed his mind?If so, what then of Carmack's dismissal of the PS4? Anti-hype?
You call developer praise hype?
It's just guessing. I don't know. Durango is vaporware currently anyway.
People are excited about ps4 for sure. Two construction guys from work and a security lady were excited about it. But they said it will retail for $1000 lol
I'm struggling to understand why MS needs to announce so early. In fact, I think Sony announced too early.
You call developer praise hype?
Carmack never said anything bad about ps4, he was actually excited about 8gb ramIf so, what then of Carmack's dismissal of the PS4? Anti-hype?

Are you making shit up for the second page in a row? Tsk tskIf so, what then of Carmack's dismissal of the PS4? Anti-hype?
I'm beginning to think this, too. Sony were probably so desperate to get the jump on MS, but jumped too early, and Sony must now be a little confused why MS have not reacted at all. Sony could have waited a little longer and put together a better presentation.
talk about hyperbole. video game "journalists" should be ignored.
I don't see any "super hype" now. Pre-conference and during the hype levels were out of this world but after a week they have died considerably.
Oh hey another system war discussion where people are just projecting their preference based on what people should or should not be excited about...yay \o/
It's an opinion piece, you should expect hyperbole because the author is trying to raise a point, a point that many people may agree with.
Dismissal? He said he couldn't talk about it freely yet but Sony made some wise engineering choices. That's it.

As a side note, I do feel that Microsoft should reveal soon - there is significant interest being pushed towards the PS4 (certainly for me, certainly for other posters, certainly for other people who read about the reveal) and Sony are in a nice position now where they've announced a launch window and can spend E3 showing off launch titles yet further. I can't see MS wanting to wait too much longer than Sony, but then again I'm sure they've got it all worked out internally - or at least I hope so, would be nice to have a real choice when it comes to my next console purchase.

Carmack happy with PS4 system specs

id Software developer John Carmack says Sony made "wise engineering choices" for just-announced next-gen platform.
Industry veteran and id Software designer John Carmack has only kind things to say about the just-announced PlayStation 4. Writing on Twitter, Carmack said he is pleased with the specifications for Sony's next-generation platform.
Uh what exactly did you correct? Blow said exactly what me and that other poster said?Made up, eh? Like you did with the John Blow bit on the prior page that I had to correct for you?
There was significantly more interest in the PS3 thank the "Xbox 1.5" prior to its release too. Didn't work out so well. It's not the reveal that matters. It's the execution of the launch.
American McGee has been quite bearish on consoles overall. But people who are actually interested in making console titles have been pretty positive about the PS4.Yeah, that's my bad. American Maghee said it. Got my Doom guys messed up. Sorry.
Uh what exactly did you correct?
no wiiu is next generation,it may not be on par but it is nintendos latest system.
...by announcing new hardware and not showing what it looks like you have not cemented in consumers mind a connection on what to buy.
Had Sony shown off the box I think it would have gotten much more playtime in the general news channel.
I also believe that announced too early. Their hype has peaked and is now declining. They must now work to build it back up for E3.

That sentence is what happens at GDC. More games, licenses, partnerships, etc are talked about and created away from the convention center (in hotels or other quiet meeting areas). This is a disastrous mistake. While there is of course the chance that some Xbox representatives will be securing deals behind closed doors
Well... many Xbox fans fought with me yesterday because I think the NextBox is not ready yes to be launch this year and you should expect a Q1 2014 window... things like this make me more certain of that...
That wasn't true with the Wii and it still not true with it's predecessor.
? Is being a dev synonymous to omnipotence?
Lol. Where did blow ever say he wasn't interested? He hasn't said one way or the other. Why are you making stuff up?You used Blow to backup someone else's claim that Microsoft wasn't communicating with indies about the next Xbox. It's pure and utter nonsense. Blow wasn't interested, he wasn't refused anything.
