CyberPower's PC case looks kinda awesome

IMHO its butt ugly and doesn't seem like it would play nice with most desks. To each his own and so I'll stick to my Fractal Define R5

Does it have a vegetable crisper drawer?

I remember thinking cases like that looked cool when I was 14, but I seriously can't imagine that now. Give me something simplistic with clean lines and good ventilation, please.

So if you press down on the top of the case does the entire thing shatter into a billion pieces? Looks pretty awful in every way IMO. Space-agey in the worst way.

Seems to be taking the whole zone seperation idea to the next level. Interested to see tests on its efficacy... but I think it's a little too compromised to achieve really good results.

Waste of space

Plus I prefer my PC to blend with desk/furniture as much as possible, and this looks ugly as sin.

your advice is also antiquated. 5 years ago that would ring true, but games and applications are starting to suppport multi-threading more frequently. DX12 is also right around the corner and should give a nice bump to the extra theoretical cores.

Nonsense. an i5 + stronger GPU with the saved money is definitely the way to go. DX12 is not going to change that at all.

If you have unlimited money, sure, get the fastest of everything. Otherwise, CPU should be the first thing to get slashed. It gives the least bang for the buck.

Not true at all. Depends on the game/application always. ARMA 3 benefits from a much stronger CPU than GPU 9 times out of 10.

Still think my LD PC-V7 is one of the best looking "no-non-sense" cases out there:

If I wanted crazy, I'd be looking at In Win.

That's a waste of money. You can get a Cyberpower Fang BattleBox with and i7 and GTX 980 for around the same price. Plus, the Battlebox was made to be carried around. I like it and I actually own one of them.

Arma 3 is your defense? Don't get it twisted, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but that games janky engine is hardly a justification for cpu over gpu.

The engine is not really "janky". It just does so much more than any other engine. The scale of the game and amount of simulations need beefy cpu.

Sounds super expensive for what it is and that case is ugly
SSD is tiny too

It's unique. I may have gotten something like that when I was younger. But as I've gotten older I tend to lean towards more simple designs. I'm currently using this Lian Li case.

I don't really like it, but I hate the neon cyborg Alienware style of case design. I prefer a clean looking tower.

Since others are sharing theirs, Bitfenix makes my favorite case designs. Here's mine:

Only a 128 GB SSD for $1700? Eww.

You don't counter garbage with less expensive garbage.

Please show me another game with that scale that includes air, land and sea over a 250km^2 map with potentially hundreds of AI. It's easy to call it janky when it really hasn't been attempted by any other studio.

It looks way cooler without the faceplates on though...

With the faceplates, they look kinda like a set of three speakers on top of each other.
