I don't find the "screwing over" of the 360 fanbase odd at all. I mean it's not really screwing over anybody (the extras are pretty minimal) and the mindshare right now is with the PS3.
to be perfectly honest, this is NO DIFFERENT than last gen, where the de facto standard was PS2, but at about halfway through the gen marketing and such started pushing heavily towards xbox. it never changed that in most cases the PS2 outsold the xbox handedly on almost all multi-plat titles, but it made the titles seem more impressive that they were "catering" to the mindshare leader, which I think it would be pretty easy to argue that the PS3 is at this second.

possible... I would probably say, again, it's the same as last gen. a combination of moneyhats and the publishers leaning towards the current mindshare leader for marketing.
