Can't believe I'm saying this but design wise Ben Affleck's suit looks way better than the new suit. The new one just looks like shit. It's probably not the final one but as soon as I saw it, I instantly hoped he switched back to the black shirt and pants.
Great news. Hopefully they listen to the reaction to the suit, though, and make it better for season 2.
if he hates them then why did he work for them in the first place?Good to hear it, though sucks DeKnight is stepping down. Hopefully this doesn't affect the fights in S2.
Clearly DeKnight just hates Marvel, there must be no other explanation!!
if he hates them then why did he work for them in the first place?
Yeah. No DeKnight is unfortunate but the show will be in appropriate hands.Douglas Petrie wrote episode 7 (Stick) and 12, co-wrote episode 11 with DeKnight. Marco Ramirez was attached to the series before DeKnight even joined the production - he wrote episode 3 and co-wrote episode 6 with Joe Pokaski. They're not replacing showrunners with unknowns who didn't work on the series before this.
His friends asked him? DeKnight was on Buffy with Goddard and Whedon. He worked on Spartacus with little Whedon and his wife who are doing AoS.if he hates them then why did he work for them in the first place?
He said he won't consult.Wish he stuck around since he had a lot of thoughts regarding what he'd do in a follow-up season and because he showed how much he understands the material, but I imagine he'll keep in touch somehow and that Doug and Marco are very much aware of his notes and ideas.
I just want Iron Fist, man. If this results in that getting pushed back I will be mighty upset.
Daredevil was ok, but my boy Fist will clown on it.
Said Goddard but meant DeKnight. I think Goddard will end up on Spider-Man, I've been saying that since the day the deal was announced.I thought there was pretty heavy talk of him working on Spiderman? He was doing Sinister Six, I'm not sure if that still exists though.

Wow, kind of a hype killer right there.
DeKnight would be PERFECT for Thor Ragnarok. Hemsworth deserves a great Thor movie.
Bring the black mask back.Fuck yeah, the first season is probably the best MCU content but I hope they find a reason to ditch the costume and go back to man in a black mask![]()

A Netflix Punisher show from the people who make Strike-Back?
That would be amazing.
I have to agree about Affleck's suit in that God awful movie looking better than the Netflix show's suit. The show is fantastic and true to the character, I loved it (despite the last 15-20 minutes of kind of cheesy moments in the final episode). I originally thought the new suit looked OK in the thumbnail for the show on Netflix but upon seeing it in action I just didn't really like it.Can't believe I'm saying this but design wise Ben Affleck's suit looks way better than the new suit. No more DeKnight is very disappointing.
Wonder why he stepped down?
He was quoted a few pages back stating that he has some previous feature film commitments. Doesn't seem like a split in bad blood at all.
He already got some massive credit from it, so he's probably better off not risking other contracts.
Thanks.
Good news that it's not something borne of bad blood. Really hope he eventually returns. He knocked this out of the park and then some.
New show runners seem decent enough, although I'd be lying if I said anyone SoA related didn't immediately raise a red flag...
Thanks.

"Love my peeps at Marvel and Netflix. Looking forward to working together again when I'm available! Had a real blast!"
Shutter is the reason why SoA sucked past the second season. That asshole cannot have free reign. He needs a counterbalance to even his brand of edgy bullshit and tell him to fuck off with his montages.
The show burned me so bad I still have to watch the finale.

Put this man on Thor 3 please.
Is this not bad news too, changing show-runners and all?
Oh wow going from Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus) to Doug Petrie (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy). We are doomed.

I like Daredevil and all but with season 2 announced so soon makes me worried about Luke Cage. I want my Luke Cage show damnit!
Luke Cage has a show runner and main character already. It's pretty much going to happen.
DeKnight is a Buffy alumni too.Is this not bad news too, changing show-runners and all?

Is this coming before Jessica jones?
Who are Daredevil's other villains?
Yeah, but if he is doing Ragnarok that would be pretty sweet.DeKnight in movies makes me sad. TV is so much better.
