GIVE IT TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

IM READY ALREADY.

I knew i was witnessing greatness when i watched that corridor scene, i fucking knew it. I sat there after watching it and was blown away. So glad i decided to watch it.

Can't believe I'm saying this but design wise Ben Affleck's suit looks way better than the new suit. The new one just looks like shit. It's probably not the final one but as soon as I saw it, I instantly hoped he switched back to the black shirt and pants.

Yeah. Much prefer the black.

Douglas Petrie wrote episode 7 (Stick) and 12, co-wrote episode 11 with DeKnight. Marco Ramirez was attached to the series before DeKnight even joined the production - he wrote episode 3 and co-wrote episode 6 with Joe Pokaski. They're not replacing showrunners with unknowns who didn't work on the series before this.
Yeah. No DeKnight is unfortunate but the show will be in appropriate hands.

Wish he stuck around since he had a lot of thoughts regarding what he'd do in a follow-up season and because he showed how much he understands the material, but I imagine he'll keep in touch somehow and that Doug and Marco are very much aware of his notes and ideas. Two showrunners may even manage to raise the quality of certain aspects of the show assuming they find a good workflow.

Everything we read and heard pointed out to Daredevil turning out as good as it did due to an enthused team effort, so as long as everyone else is still onboard I'm sure it will turn out fine.

if he hates them then why did he work for them in the first place?
His friends asked him? DeKnight was on Buffy with Goddard and Whedon. He worked on Spartacus with little Whedon and his wife who are doing AoS.

He said he won't consult.

I just want Iron Fist, man. If this results in that getting pushed back I will be mighty upset.
Daredevil was ok, but my boy Fist will clown on it.

Wow, next season in 2016 already? Most people were guessing a second season would happen after Jones/Cage/Iron Fist... Glad it's much sooner.

After all the teases in Daredevil, I agree with you. I can't wait for an Iron Fist show.

Great news even if expected. Cannot wait to see how Fisk evolves now that he isn't just Wilson Fisk one among many Gang leaders.

I thought the first season was ok but a little overrated. Maybe I'm just burned out from all these super hero shows/movies.

Finished Season 1 last night. Really impressed with it. Started out ok and gradually more and more exciting and dramatic as the season went on. Great atmosphere and cinematography as well(though it has the most obnoxious film grain I've ever seen...). Some of the acting isn't fantastic, but it's certainly adequate. Season 2 you say? Celebrate!

I have to agree about Affleck's suit in that God awful movie looking better than the Netflix show's suit. The show is fantastic and true to the character, I loved it (despite the last 15-20 minutes of kind of cheesy moments in the final episode). I originally thought the new suit looked OK in the thumbnail for the show on Netflix but upon seeing it in action I just didn't really like it.

I know that it's practical for him to wear to help protect himself from harm. The outfit itself wasn't too bad, the cowl/headgear just looks off though. Hopefully it's still a work in progress and it ends up looking somewhat similar to the Affleck suit. The 2003 movie had problems but I feel the outfit wasn't one of them.

I'm pumped for season 2 though!

No more DeKnight is very disappointing.

Wonder why he stepped down?

He was quoted a few pages back stating that he has some previous feature film commitments. Doesn't seem like a split in bad blood at all.

He already got some massive credit from it, so he's probably better off not risking other contracts.

Thanks.

Good news that it's not something borne of bad blood. Really hope he eventually returns. He knocked this out of the park and then some.

New show runners seem decent enough, although I'd be lying if I said anyone SoA related didn't immediately raise a red flag...

Sutter is the reason why SoA sucked past the second season. That asshole cannot have free reign. He needs a counterbalance to even his brand of edgy bullshit and tell him to fuck off with his montages.

The show burned me so bad I still have to watch the finale.

"Love my peeps at Marvel and Netflix. Looking forward to working together again when I'm available! Had a real blast!"

Oh, definitely. Sutter shat the bed something fierce towards the end of the second season. I guess my hate gets the better of me whenever I see anything SoA related when it should only be Sutter related...

Fantastic news. Wonder if he'll be back on board in time for this Defenders show they are building to?

Is this not bad news too, changing show-runners and all?

Oh wow going from Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus) to Doug Petrie (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy). We are doomed.

DeKnight is a Buffy alumni too. :P It's a good thing.

So the new guys were already in the fold, good. Hopefully DeKnight does great with whatever movie he's helping to make.

Hell yes. It's so good, it made me realize how perfect of a superhero Daredevil is. I always thought he was B-tier, but I get the character now. Stan Lee is a genius, and it's incredible that the creator is a producer on this show. Everyone in it is amazing, especially Charlie Cox.

I hope season 2 is an arc about Stick's 'war'.

Yes! Loved the first one.

Suit was fine (not Cap Avengers tier), but top could definately benefit from some improvements. And they need to stay away from those last minutes of the series in terms of choreography/effects.

DeKnight in movies makes me sad. TV is so much better.
Yeah, but if he is doing Ragnarok that would be pretty sweet.

I bet what happened was Marvel went to him and said they were doing a second season. They told him he could stay on, but then offered him a movie as well if he wanted to do that. That makes the most sense because he's been talking about doing a second season for a while, so I can't imagine he jumped on another commitment when he really sounded like he expected a season 2 next year.

I could definitely see Marvel offering DeKnight other stuff after seeing how Daredevil went. They're usually pretty good on predicting how things will go.

That being said, he may just not want to do the Marvel Meat Grinder again.
