Dark Souls II Network Test | YOU DEFEATED

Just realized you can get a torch from the bonfire, just press Triangle when standing next to it and the option will appear. Makes things a lot easier.

Stuck on Loading when trying to join someone's game. If I can't log back into this character I may be done with the beta, I'm tired of retreading ground without getting to fight the bosses.

I still don't understand what that really does.

Anyone know how to get that item on the right side near the end of the bridge to the chariot boss? I keep thinking its jump able but I fail every time, there some trick?

whoever the fuck said this game would be streamlined or easier then the first

play the demo and your fears will be relieved ^_^

got my ass whooped by the
chariot boss
. I'd try a couple more times if it wasn't 3am.

so hyped for this game now. March 2014 seems so far away =/

I'm already out of red eye orbs. I've just been helping out some people and grinding up some stats at the moment.
I could play one of the other 2 characters I've got but they're not as much fun as my sorcerer.

Doh. I just finished off my last one, thinking about if I will make a new character or not. I can see you being bored since there is limited content, well I hope you at least enjoyed the Network Test.

Either summoning has issues or they're getting called that fast.

I'm playing like crap, way too sleepy to focus. I got as far as the rope bridge.

That ended well.

I was invaded when I became an undead.....this changes everything for me now lol

I no longer feel safe.

Was helping someone and saw 4 red phantoms on poles. I knew there would be trouble. All of a sudden one by one they dropped down. They ate through my defense and broke my guard

I think I said it before, but From needs to indicate human/soul forms better since I have no clue if I'm human or soul and having to use human effigys to use the cracked eye orb when I thought I was human and vice-versa is confusing.

Take off your helmet and when you're (extra) hideous you'll know you're hollow.

Or you can look at your health meter. That'll have slivers off if you're not human.

After playing it for about an hour, I like it. I was never a huge fan of the last two games, but enjoyed them. Dragon's Dogma combat is still more fun to me, but this game is looking to be pretty solid when it's out.

No, because even when I'm human there's slivers off that bar. It's not a good indicator, and I shouldn't have to take armor off to find out.

LMAO invade a world and the dude just dies as soon as I appear in the world. Get "target destroyed" and sent back to my world. Either they suicided on purpose or died to an NPC enemy quickly.

After I've killed the Skeleton Lord, where are you supposed to go? Playing this game while having a fever is quite disorienting, so any help is appreciated.

Have you ridden the horses? If not, there's your second thing to do.

I love the sound of the wolf in the area before the Skeleton Lords boss (ambient sound effect), is the same sound effect that in MGS1 (and probably many other games and movies, but it will always remind me to MGS1) :-)

So I've successfuly rejuvenated my sense of apprehension and paranoia that Dark Souls 1 instilled in me. Thanks From.

Can't wait for March '14 now. :)

So apparently there are no regions in the beta? I have invaded countless Japanese and EU players, and the connections to both are pretty terrible. I summoned a Red for a duel and it seemed pretty smooth on both sides, but I have invaded and most of the encounters are very laggy.

Keep getting stun locked when in PVP. Annoying.

The player that I fought was almost completely cloaked too. Couldn't see his body or weapon. Just a glow.

Anyone know how to get out of the hole where you find the Faraam armour? There is what looks like a stone door, but attacking it does nothing.

I am so rusty. Really didn't make any progress but about to go to bed. I beat the skeleton lords as a summoned phantom though! Those hook guys tear me to pieces D:

Correct. This round (and well, was supposed to be LAST round) is a world-wide one.

Not really on the hype train for this anymore. Played about 4 or so hours altogether between the two tests and I can't stand the feel of it. I'm pumping Agility and everything still feels too sluggish and slow, and the animations are, well, bad in a gameplay way. Pvp feels a real step down from DS and DeS. And I doubt anything substantial will change before March.

I guess they changed too much for my liking and it lacks that precision of movement that I found so central to teh first two. Oh well.

Yep, I was playing a ton of Demon's literally right before I started playing this 2nd round of the beta, I already played the first. It doesn't feel right, I don't like the movement of your character. Dark and Demon's have a much more precise and controllable feel. This beta feels sloppy in comparison, even with 40 agility, you move faster, but not cleaner. There is no replicating the smooth and direct input for character control like previous Souls games.

Looks to be good for PvE, and I am sure there will be a ton of activity and fun to be had, but the core mechanics of character control just aren't there in this beta. Not sure what kind of lasting power this game will have for me, or if I will get really into the PvP aspect of it like I did with Dark Souls.
