Someone in the other thread was going on about how the Dark Souls II team probably made the bosses because how how bland they are. All I seeing are some of the most iconic fights in gaming and the game is like a day old.

I've only seen a handful on stream so no overall judgement either way, but they look cool enough. I'll take Souls rehashes over giant flailing thing x985 from Bloodborme.

Still, where are the gimmick bosses??? I want a Storm King 2.

That's Ornstein 3 haha. Not Yhorm. In anycase Even Older Dragonslayer looks hard as hell. The streamer keeps getting beat down.

Looks like DS3 is heavily taking Dark Souls 1 aspects in mind, I mean Dark Souls 2 took references from DkS1 but DkS3 is straight out taking all elements and lore in the game

The Aldritch OST... Lord have mercy. It's exactly what I thought it would be.

EDIT: I was not prepared for Soul of Cinder to go full Gwyn.

EDIT2: The boss themes are consistently amazing. None of the songs really hit the highs that The Old Hunters hit, but it's better than Bloodborne vanilla.

Would make sense given that she's all "Touch the Dark within me". Firekeepers have special souls, not dark souls like your average human,after all.

I'm beginning to suspect the the Fire Keeper may be the final boss, as the Track "Secret Betrayal" sounds a lot like a slower, more mournful version of the "Firelink Shrine" track from the original Dark Souls. If it's true, well....... :`(

Anor Londo ish areas complete with the Black Knights and paintings of Gwynevere (and Nashandra from DSII). Darkstalker Kaathe is mentioned, as well as "Londor". Havel the Rock is back. There's a Dragonslayer but he's wielding a thunder axe with a shield. Ricard is there. Black Iron Tarkus is there as a hostile NPC, but he's got the Fume Knight's sword now. The Nameless King looks like he might be a reincarnation of Gwyn, or one of his first borns. Gwyndolin is part of Aldritch. Either he's been consumed by him, or is him. Aldritch's theme itself gets mixed in with Gwydolin's. The Blades of the Darkmoon return. The Dragon covenant too in a weird way. You can become full dragon now, instead of just a head. Oceiros the Consumed King is totally the new incarnation of Seath, post Freyja.

Only thing I've seen of that is a player defeating that big crow dragon, and the king absorbing its power and looking badass afterward. The music in that short clip was phenomenal, though.
