#2) I spent 3 humanity reverse hollowing so I could try to summon someone to help fight the wolf, but no one was ever there. While doing this, I was invaded twice. I managed to kill both of them, but I need help, not another enemy.

I'm a Longsword + Shield knight, I try to have at least less than 50%, it's not the best roll, but it is a lot more useful than the really slow and clunky one at over 50%

The havel ring gives you +40% equipment burden, and helps A LOT for that. You get it from that knight who is in the underground tower in undead burg if you have not seen him.

Can you be a bit more specific? I've benn through there and didn't see him at all.

Yes, don't recall where I picked one up but I pretty much prefer it to anything in the game for the amazing range and damage - even over the Drake right now. It's phenomenal.

I'm on try no. 10 or something, without any luck. I think I shouldn't have gone pure mage, because the friggin soul arrow animation is so long--he slices me in two every time I cast. Even as a Demon's Souls finisher, these two gargoyles are annoying me like crazy. And then to think this is relatively easy early game boss

Take out dogs first - circle strafe the demon. Don't get greedy trying for too many hits at once.

You save everytime you do anything. Take a step, it saves. Loot something, it saves. Stay completely still, it saves.

I can't remember exactly where I got it, sorry. Have you been up in the rafters in the swinging axe room? That might be it... or maybe that's the Slumbering Draongcrest ring... Maybe down on the floor where the titanite demons are if you haven't checked there.

At first I tought I could never finish it, the fucking first boss, the taurus, owned me like 20+ times, but then after playing A LOT and getting the Drake sword I think it's clicking.

I try asking for help here but the thread goes so fast that no one answers :/ so I'm doing it alone.

Yes, if it's the one on the bridge. You'll need a small bow (1000souls) and about 20 large arrows and you'll need to go the Undead Burg under the bridge (past the first big boss if you haven't already beaten him) and down steps midway down the bridge to the right. You'll get hit by the dragon's breath at least once, so make sure you have some elixirs...just beeline it to the stairs asap.

Same thing happens with me. Some people reported that backtracking from Andre blacksmith through the church and up the tower will make it appear, and others say you have to ring a bell (either your first or second) for it to appear.

good run yesterday, got out of blighttown,

rang the bell, poked my head into demon's ruins, grabbed the gold-hemmed armour and got 1-shotted a few times by ceaseless whatsisname, so i high tailed out of there, raided valley of the drakes for some more gear and then went and murdered the Hydra. All before lunch.

happy days.can't wait to get back to it but i have real work to do, sigh.

the game saves all the time - i think that whenever you see that little flame fading in and out in the top right corner, the game is saving. if you quit from the menu it will save where you are and load back exactly how everything was.

You can retry it. Just go back to the same spot you activated the orb.

keep checking back at that spot after making some more progress - that's what I did when the dragon wasn't appearing, and eventually it was there. I did kill the black knight up top though, not sure if that's necessary to trigger.

The shortcut to drake/camp is guarded by three fat guys in armor. Do these respawn every time, or do they go away if I kill them once? If they don't, this is the worst shortcut ever

The problem is I go in for an attack and all three of them swarm me and I get poisoned. Which fucks me over because I usually end up using all 5 of my potions before the poison ailment wears off, and then i have no healing to fight the boar and his minions.
