Yes it works, but there is a 24 hour limit between each download from Cloud, so it's useless.
I'm aware of the limit, but assuming the game will allow me to update my save manually, perform a suicidal task, then redownload the recently uploaded save once per day, it'll do. But if the limitation is also applied to uploads then I'll forget about it.

There is no limit for uploads.

Is there no shortcut from Ash Lake back to firelight shrine? I spent about an hour looking for one before climbing back through the Great Hollow and Blighttown.

I completed Anor Londo.

Where to next?
I visited the Undead boss in Tomb of Giants. I will wait that one out a bit... The preceding area is still dangerous on level 62 and the boss seems like a lot of pain...
There is the hilltop area in Anor Londo. I need to lure out that steel hog...
The third sealed (but now open) area I'm not sure where is.

I never saw anything about locking on, but the yellow glow going into/towards your character is free Estus Flask restores that will add 1 more heal to whatever you currently are holding.

Not sure what prompted this.

if you are near a bonfire and someone kindles it, you get an additional flask.

Whats the best place to farm Twinkling Titanite? Need a ton.
The
5 Crabs right before you fight Seath the Scaleless in Crystal Caverns

Twinkling Titanite is a tough upgrade to farm though, takes forever and I was only able to get like 1 drop per 4-5 tries.

The crabs outside the Dragon Covenant have a higher drop rate.

Only if
you have completed Anor Lando, you get an item that lets you telepot to the covenant at the end.

Started playing this bad boy but I'm only still at 3-1 (iirc) on Demon's Souls.
If I play this one now, will it ruin my Demon's Souls' experience later? Is this game better on every level that'll make its spiritual prequel seem worse than it is or make it less enjoyable?
I know you can't compare the two but, for example, I only really played Uncharted after U2 and while it was at least fun I think it kinda ruined it because, imo, the sequel was so much better on every way possible.

Aside from dropping the Black/White tendencies and adding the Bonfires, they seem very similar to me, but I never finished Demon's Souls, either.

I'll assume you also beat
The Abyss
since you're talking about the doors opening.

The three areas you can head to now are
The Duke's Archive, in Anor Londo behind the boar creatures, Tomb of the Giants to kill the undead guy, or Lost Izalith, through the Demon Ruins underneath Quelaag's domain

Regardless of where you go, this is the point where the game really ramps up the difficulty, since you're on the final stretch. You may have to grind some upgrades or levels to be able to do certain areas.

You can trade barter for this at
snuggly
using moss clumps which load regularly on the tree dudes.

Isn't it a one time thing though? Like get it once, and then it's over? I already did all those trades.

Yes, but per playthrough you could only get 4 from there, and you need 10 to upgrade a unique weapon to +5.

Killing all lizards in the great hollow would net you 8-12 twinkling titanites.

I'm debating between starting NG+ and starting a new game/building strength based tank (like the huge shield guy at the Undead Church). Is Ng+ worth it for a pyro/mage hybrid?

Playing a new/different char with your added experience and knowledge > playing same old boring char in NG+.

I'm just about done with the game and can't wait to start a brand new char. Although I prob won't start until I finish Arkham City...need a break on DS. You get burnt out.

I spent like 30 mins there and didn't get one drop, not to mention you can only farm from 2 crabs and it takes forever without the liberal use of Homeward bone or the spell.

something that i have never noticed this in ng, but do those needle throwers at the depths poison or toxic? I remember it was poison in ng and i was able to block it. Now in ng+, my toxic bar fills regardless if i block or not

I cant even figure out how the hell to reach those lizards

Finally!
Rung the second bell. Now I have no idea where to go. I guess I'll try to get back to the water wheel and see where that leads.

Try the gate that opened up. Lightning spear in there is awesome.

I'm pretty sure it was Toxic in NG, I distinctly remember getting Toxic and having to use a Blooming Moss to cure it when getting hit by those darts. Maybe they upped the toxicity for NG+

you need to jump to a branch. That branch connects 4 crystal lizards

They do toxic in ng and I think you are only able to block it with the spider shield without getting the toxic.

how do you use your white soapstone? I want to put mine down but I can't.

Go somewhere that you can actually put it down, like before a boss fog.

Or down the elevator from the bonfire in Anor Londo.

Wow, Undead Burg is still soooo good.

Fuck, was I not suppose to kill the guy crawling on the ground behind the illusionary wall in quelaags(?) domain. Is he the one that said 'you won't get away with this'?

I'm confused.

You might not be able to join her covenant now?

You can only use it in some areas! i.e. not beside bonfires, or certain places.

You can use it right next to bonfires.

For Gapping Dragon I helped like 10 people kill it and dropped my sign next to the bonfire in the depths each time.
