Dark Void Zero thread of 8-BIT capcom glory

Adding to the "legitimacy" of the history, Jimmy Fallon had a quick blurb about this game on his show last night, saying he was helping with the game as a kid and it was never released.

I'm wondering how Fallon got involved. I thought I was tripping when the first journal said "Captain Jimmy Fallon." :lol

Anyway, way excellent game from what I've played so far in the first level.

I beat it last night. Pretty short, but still a fun little game.

I am glad that Capcom at least has embraced the aesthetic of 8-bit nostalgia. It sure is fun to go back and play a new NES game.

I hope they make a sequel that is more of a full on game.

It would be fun to have more high paced shooter levels, like the metal slug jetpacks levels, in addition to the explorative ones.

Yes, it's a brand new game, but Capcom is marketing it as an unreleased old game, which people are taking at face value and believing.

I think >.>
Ah ok, i see. Thanks for the info! :) Ye, i thought that it was a brand new game, at least i havnt heard of Dark Void Zero before as being a unreleased game from Capcom. But on the other hand, maybe Capcom has canceled several of games back in the day that people dont know about. But i dont know, i am just guessing :)

EDIT: I added some text.

Why the FUCK is this still not out in Europe?! Goddamn it

I sent an E-mail to Capcom to ask about their Euro release plans for DVZ some hours ago.
If I recieve an answer I'll post it here.

Im considering buying this but i'm not so sure...

Is it really that great? Is it worth the 5 bucks? Or could I save my money for an even better game down the road?

Game looks ok. Graphics are horrible tho? Even on a windowed screen, they're not crisp like 8bits being played on a computer should look like. They seem blurred. When i fullscreen, my monitor is still getting a 1920x1200 signal, so the zooming proccess they're using is just filtering it the hell up.

Sounds and looks awesome, i just wish it would look more blockey.

LTTP on this but I got this game on Amazon's Holiday sale for $2.50 and started playing this recently.

Wow this game is great. Great atmosphere, great design, and great gameplay.

That being said I do find it funny that the game is suppose to be an NES game. There is no way an NES would be able to run it. Its CPU would fry.

It was cool but fairly short with not much variety. Worth the 4 I paid on Steam though.
