New info.
Deacon’s decision to find and save his friend begins a harrowing journey that demonstrates the core of the Days Gone experience: if something moves, it probably wants to kill you. And the Horde is just one of your problems. Last year we introduced three types of Freakers: Swarmers were adults when infected and are dangerous whether alone or moving in packs; Newts were children when infected and tend to use hit-and-run tactics from above; Hordes are large groups of Swarmers – and by large we mean hundreds – that move and react as if a single entity. This year we’re introducing three new types: Runners are infected wolves that can outrun and attack a Drifter bike, sending the rider sprawling; Ragers – infected bears – are powerful and almost impossible to kill; and Swarms, smaller than Hordes but more common and almost as deadly.
But the biggest threat in Days Gone isn’t Freakers – it’s other people. Bad people. Marauders, Squatters, Drifters, Raiders – call them what you will, if you step outside the relative safety of the encampments, they will try to kill you. This is one of the things that makes Days Gone unique: you don’t have to seek out danger. Wherever you’re going, whatever you’re doing – the world comes for you. In the media showcase demo Deacon is attacked by a Runner and deals with it, but while he’s distracted — WHAM. He rides into a rope strung across the road, throwing him from his bike. In Days Gone, ambushes are almost never scripted events but are part of a dynamic open-world system – Marauders can attempt to ambush you almost anytime and anyplace. Taking out their camps can make the broken road safer, but that isn’t always easy. Thankfully, Deacon has access to an arsenal of skills, weapons, crafted items, traps and most importantly, the various dynamic systems we have in place.
The bad news with Freakers is that Runners, Ragers, Swarms and Hordes want to kill you and eat you. The good news: they also want to kill and eat Marauders. Last year you saw Deacon running for his life from a Horde; this year, you see him using a Swarm as a weapon against a Marauder camp. The possibilities are almost endless and are an important part of our strategic sandbox combat.
If you’re at E3, stop by the PlayStation booth to get a look at an alternate version of our gameplay demo. We changed up the time of day, the weather, and the dynamic events, and Deacon uses a completely different strategy to take on the Marauder camp, this time going in with guns blazing. For those of you who can’t make it to E3, don’t worry: in the next few weeks we’ll be uploading that gameplay video as well.

Looked way better than last year. Love using the horde as a gameplay tool.

There's a bit of lifelessness to it though. Hopefully they can address it.

This is definitely a video game that is in development and will be released in retailers when it is finished.

That this was the first game shown and this thread has like seven posts sums it up.

Only would have been exciting if it said 2017 release.

Like I said in the official thread, the people who said this looked generous are full of shit. This looked great and I'm looking forward to more. It seemed incredibly polished.

Looks awful. Who asked for another Zombie game? next game please

Nah looks neat, motorcycles will always automatically get me interested.

Maybe I am the only one on GAF but I am genuinely excited for this game.
Dont worry, you're not. Negativity is just much louder then excitment.

Game looks beautiful graphically. I'm curious to see how open it is. The zombie hordes are sure to provide some epic "oh shit" moments

It looks like a good game, I just can't get too excited about it. Seems like a fairly standard AAA game. I want to see something more unique from Sony.

A checklist of modern video game features without any unique wrapping to make it all compelling. I'm sure we'll get out first look at the crafting system at PSX. Maybe they also have randomly generated loot!

I'm interested again. First part reminded me of Horizon on a motorcycle. Horde looked and moved great and should make for great moments.

I'm still skeptical. It always leaves me feeling like someone took parts of other games that looked cool, and then duck taped then together without enough thought on whether they really needed them.

I really like it. So many people seem to hate on it, but I think there is so much potential here. There seem to be a lot of gameplay options in regards to how you approach situations. And the way these zombies work seems tense.

they could pull some really cool stuff with the zombie hordes.

I wanna see more still. Need to see more still. Like the crafting and all that jazz. How big of an area are we talking?

That bear was cool as hell.

Definitey interested but a lot of that appeared scripted, without much freedom or even much gameplay to it.

What is gameplay? Because I'm pretty sure using gadgets and stealth counts as gameplay. Why wouldn't players also have the freedom to shoot their way in or do something else? It seems like people are reaching like crazy to dislike this game. It looked kind of mundane last year. It looked much more interesting this year.

Yea I lvoe the use of the bear trap.

His screams attracted the zombies you can hear them attacking .

I think they should show off the open world a lot better. People i was watching with taught it was a linear shooter like Last of Us.

Didn't see any gunplay this time too.

Seems scriptet as hell. No way it will actually play like that.
They show gameplay last E3 attacking the same area in different ways :/

I really dont get it this was the same with Horizon Zero Dawn.

This looked really really bad and uninspired. I get the feeling someone was breathing down bend's neck forcing them to create a stop gap TLoU+Uncharted.
