Days Gone E3 2017 Gameplay

I say this game mentioned several times on the "best of E3" thread that's currently moving on the first page. had never seen it.

I went to youtube to watch and I got a very very very very very strong TLOU vibe. it really looks like a rip-off (sorry I don't mean to troll, the influence is just too noticeable)

what sets this game apart from TLOU?

Everything outside of zombies. They're nothing alike.

I think he was being sarcastic lol

I watched more and it's fun and good, very tense, probably more so than TLOU, which was more about Ellie and Joel.

this seems like what a sequel would be like, better mechanics, more interaction with the enviroment, better graphics,

I like it but.... let's call a spade a spade...

My suggestion is to see reaction videos and read detailed impression from journalists and insiders who saw more of the game from behind closed doors. I did that yesterday and the general consensus was the game is nothing like the last of us

It's open world
You have a motorbike you customise
The zombies swarm like in WWZ
They're infected animals as well
Dynamic time of day and weather
Lots of manipulating enemies against the swarm, which TLOU didn't do.
Laying, disarming, avoiding various traps.
Have to keep your bike gas topped up for travel
Things pan out differently based on weather and time like MGSV i.e visibility
Completely different survival and crafting systems.
Creepy-ass zombie kids
Massive potential for sandbox fun.
No multiplayer

Other than that, yeah it's tonally a lot like TLOU and is a zombie game with stealth.

I think Survival-elements are a big deal here, which is great!

If you read more about it and watch more footage you'll find that other than having "zombies" in them they are nothing alike.
 
One little problem with the infected I see is that there are many twins among them. They should use some technique which vary the colors of the clothes if it is possible.

Do we know if it also has somekind of resource administration (food, oil, medicine, weapons, etc). Something like State do Decay
