Days Gone Remastered Officially Announced | State of Play

Does this game give you ZombiU / Alien Isolation levels of tense?
Haven't played them but it can get tense as it works best as a stealth game in the beginning. Much easier to survive if you don't get caught. Everything from the bikes, guns, general movement and your abilities start off horrible until you receive a lot of upgrades as your time progresses. It's a proper Yamcha to Goku super saiyan story.

How much story / narrative is there?
Classic Sony/RockStar level.
The prologue was more jarring with the introduction/tutorial cutscenes pre-remaster, glad they fixed that.

I'm not hang up if the game is missing RTGI, but I hope the IQ, physics and frame rate is very good for the Ps5 remaster.

release note says remaster is the highest setting on PC.

"The base PS5 rendering settings are the equivalent of "highest" on the PC version of Days Gone and is taking advantage of native resolution rendering instead of PlayStation®4's use of checkerboard rendering. "

PS5
  • Performance: 1440p/Target 60FPS
  • Quality: Native 4K/ Target 30FPS*
PS5 pro

  • Performance: 1800p/Target 60FPS
  • Quality: 2880p/Target 30FPS*
  • Enhanced: 1584p/Target 60 FPS with PSSR
Curious about Enhanced IQ vs Performance or even Quality mode.

PC still has the advantage for even higher FPS, higher AF and ultrawide.

This and Oblivion on the same weekend. I'm fucking dreaming. Two of my favorite games of all time getting real nice treatment done. Holy shit don't wake me up.

Sorry not sorry for double posting

Sadly on PC, there is no support for DLSS/FSR/XeSS.
And the game is still using DX11. Forcing DX12 makes the game crash, so it's probably still using UE 4.13

I loved this game but knowing that Days Gone 2 isn't coming and knowing the cliffhanger ending makes me sad and angry so I dont want to replay it as a result

But the game is a gem and I absolutely adore it, its one of the best games I have ever played even tho some parts are a bit slow but its a blast

I was hoping they would add this, shame. Haptics are nice though for a replay at some point.

Looks and plays great so far. Dem haptics when its raining 👌🏼

Well, shit, that sounds nice 👍
I've found world event-related haptics to be very immersive since they give a game this... palpable (?) and heavier feeling...

Anyway, played this game 2 years ago for the 1st time on a PS5 so it's still fresh in my memory and I don't think the better resolution and haptics are enough to pull me back in so soon.

Give this game a try boys, it's worth it for the atmosphere, bike and ending alone and while it's absolutely not TLOU2 levels of polish, it's still worth your time.

Personally, I've enjoyed this WAY more than something like Ghost of Tsushima (another PS exclusive).

Against the modes… which one got the most graphical features ?
What is the hierarchy here

Bend recently canned their other game so are likely working on the sequel now.

Since I never played Days Gone, I thought I might try it out when the remaster drops. But it turns out the PS Plus Collection version isn't eligible for the PS5 upgrade — hard pass for me.

Question, does this remaster still fade to black at the beginning and ending of every cutscene like the original? I hated that...

€10 upgrade available to me. Bought this for €20 on sale back in the day and soon after it went free with that ps plus collection thing for ps5. Look's like I got the last laugh!

Can anyone confirm all the original dlc trophy packs are still there or just the new DLC trophy?

Originals are there as well

i might be wrong but i do not think i have scene gameplay speed slider in this type of game i have scene it in sports games how does that help is it for motion sickness reflexes?

Just watched the new trailer and those vista shots look far, far more impactful to me vs the PS4 Pro version with the 60fps PS5 patch, even via YT video. The lighting looks really nice and the image just has far more presence.

How's everyone liking the upgrade so far? I gotta dig my copy out of my storage unit so I can spend the $10. Tempted to just give them my $50 so I don't have to but i'll go deal with it tomorrow.
