Backers could be advertising partner. If so, advertising partner and outright giving the company $750k are quite different.
Glad to see it's being well received. Disappointed with the frame rate issues, but the game sounds fun as hell. Will be one of the first things I get whenever I end up getting an Xbone.
So is nightmare mode available from the beginning? I've read some of the reviews, but I didn't happen to see if it has to be unlocked or not.
That's the way I want to play the game from the get go. The time constraints and Groundhog Day element is a huge part of what endears me to the series.
The rev3 review is pretty rough. Tara's one of the few reviewers I actually trust too
That just pisses me off more that DF would even write that article based on a demo build. I mean way to incite all the console warriors with scathing reviews of subpar framerates without even analyzing the finished product.
Just sloppy click-bait journalism.

I specifically questioned them about that when it was released on twitter and they did nothing but ignore me. Which was my first clue that they were def trying to hide that fact from how it seemed.
They didn't say that; cmon. It is even in your quote..through the spring and summer
Drive Club is a launch game that was pushed back, The Show is a annual franchise and The Order has no release date.
This is a notoriously precarious period for new consoles, as demonstrated by the software struggles of both the PlayStation Vita and the Wii U in the year following their release, and we're not sure what bridges Sony intends to build between release and holiday 2014.
Yeah, their lack of response was indeed suspect. Glad to see the game won't be as bad as their analysis suggested it would be, hope they do another one and admit they were perhaps too hasty and not as forthcoming with vital information as they otherwise should have been in the first piece.
Why does Drive Club originally being a launch title and MLB being an annual franchise mean that they aren't important exclusives that are coming this spring/summer? The Show is the only baseball game on the market and always reviews very highly.
You also ignored the second sentence where they talk about Sony having nothing until Holiday 2014.
So Chris Carter aka @DtoidChris just posted this a few minutes ago on his twitter feed.
"I beat Dead Rising 3 twice, and only once did I have any framerate problems for a few seconds -- and it didn't impede my gameplay at all."
Also I asked about in co-op and was told "no noticable difference" Yes, Yes, YES!!!!
Awesome.
Where the hell did all the framerate issues DF encountered come from?

Well at least we know Brad is a shill now. Put him on the list, boys
They played a build that apparently wasn't the final build. They never claimed it was, but when asked about it on twitter, ect... would never admit it. Why they bothered to do a analysis on code that wasn't final, no freaking clue. I'm leary of those guys after this now if this is their practice and how they are going to do it.
Non final build I guess or possibly they played a build without the day one patch? Who knows.
Giant Bomb said the previous times they've seen the game it was a mess and ran like garbage. It's looking like DF had an outdated build.
There were a couple things she said that I didn't find to be a big deal.
One, she said the story was serious and not very humorous. That's how it's always been besides boss fights, which still seems to be the case for Dead Rising 3. Makes me wonder if she just forgot what they were like.
I took that more as not so much a dig at the lack of humor or the emphasis on the darker pallet/story, but that it wasn't as well executed as the prior games. Same reason why she was really critical of the boss fights. Never the best part of the games, but at least they were somewhat sensible in the context.
It just screamed to me the same exact issue Capcom has been having with all its franchises this past generation.
Edit: Why is there no mention of the Smartglass feature in the reviews? Good to hear about the patch coming in though.
I do find it kind of baffling that three entries in the developers haven't realised that the boss battles are shit and they need to be completely changed.
[edit] Also wow some of these guys seem kind of awkwardly offensive.
