Chaos Rings 2's story didn't really allow for a proper sequel unless they decided to make like a lot of things never happened or didn't have the effect they were supposed to.
Same with Chaos Rings, which is probably why they made Omega a prequel and why CR2 is barely connected to the first one at all.
Though from the trailer they appear to be reusing some assets from 2 in Sigma... So Sigma is 2's Omega.

Though why is it being developed by Media Vision a thing? All CR games have been done by them.
