My sister went from being a lapsed Catholic to a hardcore Christian fundamentalist practically overnight, when she got married and had her first baby. Totally reversed her politics too. I assume her husband had a lot to do with it, but they both changed a lot when they had the baby.
After about 12 years or so they got a divorce. A couple years after that she stopped bringing up stuff like abortion at family get togethers and picking fights with us. Now it's been about 10 years since the divorce and I recently found out she's back to being a good ol' left wing liberal. Nice to have her back.
