Destiny 2: Creating the Sentinel Titan Subclass - IGN First

As of the reveal event, you could not equip emotes to all d-pad buttons and you were still pulled out of menus.

I mean, I mained a Warlock. Just not ignorant to how Bungie left us hanging.

Just saying in my raid experience, the sub classes people want you to play are Defender, Nightstalker, and Sunsinger. And out of those three, Sunsinger offers the least to your team besides correcting your mistake of dying. Defender offered better passives and freaking protection, Nightstalker offered DPS and orbs. Hell, Defender kind of did both of those as well. I've heard people argue Stormcaller is good for mob slaying, but so are guns, and it just means you're not playing a Sunsinger so you're already doing it wrong. Also, if you're one of those super good Warlocks like me who don't die very often in raids, you don't get a whole lot of use out of your super because you don't want to risk losing it if you do end up dying. For shame.

If you came across some bro dudes on LFG that had to choose two out of three guys, and it was between a Titan, Hunter, or Warlock, I think I'd know what they'd choose.

Of course, I speak exclusively of PVE. Don't care too much about the garbage PVP.
Warlocks were never left hanging heck if you look at just sunsinger, using radiance for helping the team build supers and dropping orbs.

That's not to mention how valuable both the voidwalker and Stormcaller can be for ad control and damage. The warlock is a top notch class and I have no concerns about warlocks not being valuable in D2.

If you're so super good, stop using self-res— who do you think you are, Jesus? Use radiance for DPS and mob control/orb generation. You know during radiance you make orbs regardless of how you kill stuff, right? use a gun. Use song of flame to buff the Sunbreaker's melting point, and between the two of you the team has a massive damage buff.

Voidwalker and storm caller are very viable in a variety of encounters in the raids. If staying alive is the biggest concern, void walker is the better option than sunsinger.
Exactly.

Honestly I think all classes were very good in the game in both PVP and PVE.

I don't think I've heard a single Bungie employee admit to maining Hunters. No representation on their side for us and that's why we get hit with those nerfs. But playing a Hunter in PVE you have to be a top tier player; you couldn't lean on crutches like a bubble or self-rez.

facts.

every single person on my friends list that main hunter is considerably more skilled than the guys that main warlock or titan.

This was a surprisingly big issue for me in D1 lol. It was seriously keeping me from wanting to buy new emotes. Also it should be a wheel.

I don't even need a wheel! There's 4 d-pads, just let us make use of them.

It made absolutely no sense that they introduced Eververse and tons of new emotes, including ones that let you say "yes" or "no" only to only let us use one at a time.

And preferably, they would let us attach consumables like ammo synths to the d-pad as well.

Wheel would be more efficient though. Only takes up one button and would give you more options. That would free up the rest for the ammo synths etc.

I have no idea how they haven't implemented an emote wheel yet. You'd think they'd want to cause some people would want to buy more emotes to fill it.

Yep. I'm actually a fan of lower drop rates and RNG.

Chasing thing is fun - owning it is booooooring.
I completely agree. Knowing what I was chasing also made it fun. in later updates I felt I was chasing a number rather than a specific item.

VOG was the most fun I had in a raid since maybe Cataclysm in WoW. People were what made the biggest difference, it was fresh which meant quality players were still out in force, it was easy to find groups and you didn't have to jump through too many hurdles. It was pretty short lived though. All the issues with cheesing really put a cramp on the raid, most groups didn't actually even want to do the raid (Just wanted checkpoints and cheese), and the RNG (three characters over more than a month both norm/heroic to get a single character the last piece needed to get to light 30). It also just didn't have much longevity, then later none of the other raids really lived up to it, the mechanics started to fall by the wayside instead of getting more interesting like they should have (although I will say It started to swing back with Taken King, but there just wasn't a lot of content). I really could never get back into Destiny again after VOG.

I kind of liked that some parts were cheesable. For those weeks I didn't have time for a full run, having those shortcuts kept me involved far longer than I care to admit. However, and maybe I was just lucky, my main fireteam made VOG and Crota fun regardless if we were doing a speedrun or were trying flawless the raid. That's what kept the game fresh. That and the loot.

It's a no brainer. I kind of understand for the first game but if it's not in this one, I don't know what they're thinking. It sounds like a low priority issue until you think about how much money they're making off selling those things.

Don't get me started on how emotes should be carrying over from D1 either.

Unlike anything I've ever played. My first VOG clear will forever be one of my best gaming memories.
Y1 Destiny in general. L.O.V.E.

There was some special sauce in Y1 (especially before House of Wolves). Im not sure if it was on purpose or not, but damn, it was fun to chase guns.

I guess, in the end, its better to respect player time, but still...

I was sure I would go Warlock main this time around but this video has me having second thoughts.

I hope not all Titan armour this time around has those dumb oversized shoulder pads...

Titan still the MVP :)

Still trying to decide if I'll play the beta, kinda want to start the game fresh from the beggining, but these vids are making it hard not to bite.

Return of the Titan bubble and it has a lot more space now.

Best all around class imo and the first one I'll be doing. Sorry hunter bros, but it looks like way too much fun. And will always have a spot in raids etc.

Hell yea! Was worried they removed it like the Warlock's revive. Will Feds be going with Titan this time!

Is that from the video? At work ATM so I can't check. Is that a separate Titan class from the Cap shield?

Yeah, but then you don't get to say "played it since beta" and all the snobbery that comes with it!

Usual Destiny day.

Nerfs Warlocks and boost others classes "to be fair".

No matter what the superior class will continue being the same.

I didn't really play after Rise of Iron launched. What other activities drop max level gear?

Every PvP mode (regular, IB, Trials)
Weekly PvP bounties from Shaxx and Arcite
Weekly PvE bounties from Zavala and Shiro
Archon's Forge
Nightfall
Strike chests
Exotics from engrams

Yeesh -- so pretty much everything?

Did this start in Rise of Iron, or Age of Triumph?

I mained hunter during my time with Destiny (which was only core Destiny), but I think I'm gonna go with Sentinel Titan this time around.

The Hunter is cool but the super is just more shooting in a shooter. This super is a totally different and unique experience in comparison.

Plus, aren't they getting rid of the throwing knife or something in D2? That's honestly the only reason I played Hunter, the throwing knife lmao

Wonder what buffs the bubble will have now, I noticed 'Armor of Light' in the video. With the stripped down class nodes and the warlocks class ability giving Weapons & Blessing type effects I feel like that might be the only one.

Titan main reporting in. This shit is bananas B A N A N A S

I was really disappointed when I thought they took away my bubble. Now all is right with the world.

Just so its clear, the Bubble and Cap Shield are the same class right? Just a long hold for Bubble, and short press for Shield.

Yes, and it’s amazing. I’ve been bummed since the reveal thinking they took my bubble and wondering why Zavala still had his. Now I understand, and i’m happy.

Best part of the bubble returning is that weapons/blessing/armor aren't. I'm extremely for anything that can add some variety and freedom to raid strats.

How do we know that? We haven't seen the Sentinel's perk tree yet. Not saying those will be in but I wouldn't completely rule them out yet either.

Ah whoops, you're right, I forgot that it was striker and not sentinel that was playable in the build we saw the skill trees from. Wishful thinking I guess. I just want to be able to use a fun super when I raid as a Titan and not just have to place a shield every time!
