Deus Ex: HR - 30$ PC Pre-order (Standard edition - Steamworks)

I pre-ordered it for $30. So I guess we have to wait until release day to get our Steam codes?

NVM, found my own answer in their forum:
Keys normally go out on the day of release (that's when we get them), this often gives you half a days pre-load time!

Cheers,

Mark

I've never heard of this place, but I went ahead and ordered anyway. Didn't like that it charged me immediately, but oh well.

What's up with them asking for my social and shit when trying to make a purchase? Can I trust this place?

I had to give mine, but just as verification for my bank because the store is based in the UK.

got the standard. wasn't even planning on getting this but it looks ok and this was a good deal. hope it turns out to be great.

Games not worth this much hassle, grr. Tried ordering, but both paypal and my cc denied Green Man Gaming my money. I can't even log back in to their site, as it says I haven't registered. wtf

My cc company actually called me, with a fraud alert. The site runs out of the UK. Oh well, easier to just pay full price on steam.

Similar situation with me. I might try again later, but they're being straight pricks with that heavy authentication.

So what is this website? Is there DRM? Do you need a client to play/install the game?

Generaly yes for their other games, but since this is a game that must register on Steam in order to play they will give you a key and you imput it on Steam.

Steam is the DRM, when the game releases you get a key that you register on your Steam account.

You could have just read the OP or some replies but whatever man.

No mention for Call of Juarez: The Cartel? The game uses Steamworks instead of Ubi Online DRM.

It's $20.40 if you use the code GETYO-URWAN-DOUT1. I can get it for 10.15 due to Store credit i have/

Play the preview. Please. The game needs a good look from players themselves and frankly deserves to be bought and sell well. The developers even listen to the community for Chrissakes. They made the object glow optional, something the devs thought was a must to have in game and was meant to be played with. They care for their game. So should you. :)

I did play the preview and liked what I saw, despite the game freezing up on me a handful of times. I assume that won't be a problem with the final release seeing this is just a preview build.

I've been looking forward to it since I went to the PAX East Panel. I'm taking the plunge.

Since this is a European site, any problems with purchasing in the U.S. and activating on a U.S. Steam account? I just want to be sure since I'm going to buy 2 copies.

I'm having trouble purchasing right now. Keeps declining my card even though I'm no where near my limit. :\

Free copy of Deux Ex 3 for me :)

I love the referral program.

I can't even get into the site. It just sits there acting like its loading and nothing happens. This happens in mozilla and IE. Any ideas?

Works fine for me, just tried it on Google Chrome and Firefox.

You might have to try Chrome... Not sure what could cause that to happen.

Hell I even tried windows xp mode with chrome and it just sits there acting like it's trying to load and nothing happens.

Wanted the Augmented edition but really, probably won't do much with the content, especially digitally. For 28 bucks the Standard edition is all I need. Thanks for the heads up!

Fans also tend to dismiss reasonable criticism a little too easily.

Is this real life? Where were you when people were endlessly whining about the object outline, third person cameras, melee takedowns, regenerating health etc? People even attack the art style regularly. The leaked build put most of these criticisms to rest, but the fans were outright brutal with this game.

Still kinda shocked at this deal. $28.80 for a brand new, AAA game like this. A full $21 less than the cheapest price for the PC version, with no gift cards/credit... just a straight 20 bucks off. If you have any passing interest in this game at all you should definitely get in on this.

Welp, greenman gaming lists prices in GBP instead of USD for me and I don't think they'll be able to resolve the issue before the sale ends. Fuck my life.

I hope people play CoJ: The Cartel online, it looks pretty decent from this video. It looks like a cross between Modern Warfare/Red Dead Redemption

Will pre-order when another 20% coupon happens, i already used the 2 available.
I'll say this much: this site is definitely making its presence known, at least to me. If they have enough future deals like this, I can see myself using the site for a long time, as I love the atmosphere and quirkiness that it already possesses. And I've gotta say the "trade-in" idea is really out of left field, but more power to them for trying it on a download-only platform.

I only have 1 referral. :(

I pre ordered Deus Ex HR 2 days ago from them and now I'm trying to pre order CoJ. the game went to my basket and did the check out. after I finished paying through paypal and got redirected to GMG, it told me my session is expired.

now when I try to go to the game's page again I get a 404 error, page not found. very weird, anyone else getting that error?
