The blur in the comparison for DMC1 shows that PCSX2 is doing some weird frame buffer shit, just FYI. Not sure about the sky being dark, though.Chacranajxy said:Those screenshots look like absolute horse shit. I really think the originals running through an emulator would be better.
Then again, that's exactly how it was with RE4!
Crapcom strikes again!
Edit: That comparison goes against what I just said... hmm...
that DMC3 shot looks so bad, though...

The DMC HD picture could be from a later section of the game. I'm not sure, it's been so long since I played DMC1. I hope I can get it separately for a good price.Orayn said:The blur in the comparison for DMC1 shows that PCSX2 is doing some weird frame buffer shit, just FYI. Emu has blur from the low resolution HUD. It overlays on top and ruins the rendering.electroshockwave said:The DMC HD picture could be from a later section of the game. I'm not sure, it's been so long since I played DMC1. I hope I can get it separately for a good price.

So true my friend.Danielsan said:Also look at that DMC1 church. Art direction DMC1 >>>>>>>>>>>> all other DMC games after it.
Wait, how is that from the HUD? I'm talking about the faint, ghostly image of the side of the walkway, which is shifted over a few pixels from the actual model. It looks similar to the bloom offset problem that Monster Hunter Tri has on Dolphin.gunbo13 said:That's blur from the HUD.
There are plenty of more to compare with.

The very top pixelation and blur is from the HUD. I do know what you are talking about with the blur though. It is some dof rendering bullshit that happens at times. You will see it off and on in the emu pics.Orayn said:Wait, how is that from the HUD? Totally necessary. DMC1 textures will never pass HD standards, even upscale, without upgrades. The glaring example is the underwater levels using pcsx2. The emulator can't even help those levels and they look awful.Danielsan said:Updated textures? Capcom is putting effort into this? Some Capcom exec must have bumped his head or something.
