But even so, DMC in HD will probably be enough for most people to warrant a purchase anyway.

I can tell you right now there won't be a digital release because literally zero people would buy DMC2. If Capcom spent money and time converting DMC2 you bet your ass they're gonna force people to pay for it in order to get to DMC1/3.

It's funny, at the beginning of this gen I started buying all the games from last gen I hadn't completed. Now all those games are coming out in HD collections haha. Oh well, I guess I'll pick up the HD versions too and finally get around to playing them.

It's likely a faster process in DMC3 than in the other games, given that you've got the Bloody Palace *and* a huge variety of equipment (=replay value) AND given that you can replay levels if you want. Sure, there's more to level up and more to buy, but there's so much more to do, too. It's damn easy to grind DMC3 out in little to no time if you really want to just keep repeating certain levels.

The day this releases is the day I forego life in an attempt to Platinum every game. It will be done. They will join Devil May Cry 4 (fair enough it doesn't have trophies but it still has 1000 achievement score even on PS3, and I was able to acquire the full 1000 score).

Woooo great news! I tried to play through the first game a couple of times using PCSX2, but it just looked terrible, had lots of graphically errors and garbled sound. Can't wait to play through part 1 & 3 again. Even though the first game spawned the genre I'd say DMC3 is my favourite of the series. It is part of the holy trinity of 3D action games along with Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden Black.

It always hurts a little bit when I see how much better the emulators make the games look, in comparison to the HD re-releases the companies put out.

3d objects still look better in pcsx2 due to the really high resolution rendering.

Shots like these will probably not be as good in the collection.

Textures heavy scenes, which is the vast majority of DMC1, will look better for the remakes.
