it doesnt need to be a powerfull PC or even a more expensive to achieve equivalent results.
Im absolutely SURE that anyone who has this PC is not bragging about PSSR2 or DLSS on internet forums...
Damn, so aggressive yet so damn right! LolPSSR2 / 1080p this is same as 4K Performance with your beloved DLSS. Fking dork people.
Why are PC gamers so stupid and pretend not to understand (or don't want to understand?)
let me get this straight, do you really think that ppl with this PC, a PC that ll cost less than a PS5 pro while delivering almost the same IQ wouldn't bragg about it on the internet ?Yes.
The USED PARTS answered your question :-Dlet me get this straight, do you really think that ppl with this PC, a PC that ll cost less ( using used parts ) than a PS5 pro while delivering almost the same IQ and performance wouldn't bragg about it on the internet ?

I don't know, that sounds like work.May I make a request? Can you drop shadows to medium quality and see if the image quality is still acceptable (I know this is subjective)? I'm curious if dropping the setting will boost fps a lot even with RT/PT on.
I don't own the game and I have a 3080ti but usually the tradeoff is minimal and the fps gets a big boost.
That and vsync off usually gets me the boost I need (I use gsync with a forced maximum fps of 142 or something in Nvidia control panel and that results in no screen tear).

or you can build this PC for the same price. You can buy a used PS5 Pro for $600 right now.
Wait when? Hope it's not the last patch of a week ago because the reflections denoiser

Just a comparison.I don't know, that sounds like work.
Do you want 1080p or 4K? with or without upscaling?
I'm stuck with 60hz on my TV no matter the resolution. I'll turn off V'sync and see what kind of FPS I get tonight.
It's pretty good that the PS5Pro can do 1080P with Pragmata. I assume it still looks good.
It's the fucking last patch of the past week when I started to notice those horrid artifacts
Not everyone paid $900.900$ console is not a cheap machine.
Not everyone paid $900.
Some of us bought them on sale.
Do you buy your 10 GPUs a year without even looking at the deals?
It's ironic, since Bojji told me in another thread that he changes between 4 and 5 GPUs over 5 years.Who the fuck is buying 10 GPU's every year?

Regarding the thread, this is what truly makes you completely reconsider not playing games on day one.
Blame that to Sony's stupidity and greed. 700 is negligible, but 900 was nuts. Sony could have took advantage with the increase interest on ps5 pro due to its impressive update pssr 2.0 but instead they alienate potential buyers with this stupid price increase. I know allot of people who wanted to upgrade to ps5 pro but now turn off by the stupid price increase.900$ console is not a cheap machine.

I think the better approach was increase big the price of base ps5 and no price increase on ps5 pro, or maybe just 50 dollars. That could have made Sony more profit with more ps5 pro buyers. There are so many potential ps5 pro customers they lost. Even my brother wanted to upgrade to ps5 pro but now turn off from that crazy price of ps5 pro right nowI agree, but pro was always meant to make money on the hardware.
If they didn't increase the price, with current ram, nand and component prices - they would lose money on it.
Ok.. Show me this build with some benchmarks showing the same results and how much the machine costs. Make sure its got a 2TB fast SSD like the PS5 pro has. Oh. yeah thats a quarter of the price or more right there.GPU comparable to PS5 Pro power is ~400$.
You don't need 3000$ PC to match or exceed consoles, you can make one (from the ground up) for 1000-1200$. Most people already have platforms, so they can just swap in new GPU (selling the old one).

I am asking for a benchmark showing comparable performance, and the real price with current available pricing.. and what about the storage? 9060XT 16GB is 450 on its own.PC with 9060XT 16GB and 7400f will be faster than pro in every aspect (2x better CPU and slightly faster GPU).
One month ago I was experimenting with builds like that and they costed 1100-1200$. You can make cheaper PC with am4, DDR4 and 5500 CPU (comparable to pro).

1200- Yeah I would bet you can get in the ballpark now that youve added a few hundred to the cost- it wont include your OS or your controller and will require all the leg work
to obtain and install those things. sure.... (Just for reference I am a systems engineer by trade, I work with enterprise data center equipment and have been building home PCs since the mid 90s... I am not anti-PC I am just saying this to talk through the reality of it)
You wont find a proper not chinese junk - 2tb SSD for under 200 bucks, its closer to 250+. Will the DDR4 / 5500CPU give real world results close to pro with PC overhead? Tech specs sure but.. lets say you get a system board(hopefully in this budget can get one with bluetooth and wifi- probably these days but it needs to be confirmed case by case) , CPU, cooler. for 200 and enough ram to make it work for another... 150 because its DDR4 and youre going with 16gb assuming the OS and Steam overhead wont eat much. Ok granted you get the lowest end case and power supply, cooling you can, and you throw it together for 1200 and maybe youve got something in the PS5 pro ballpark for only a few hundred more, doesnt come with a controller or the cost of the OS in that price... doesnt account for power consumption, if it makes sense in your livingroom or is a loud huge brick that sits on the floor with wires coming off it- But I get it..... Yeah its a lot more expensive than a ps5 pro and a lot more work to set up. I will actually suggest one step better... a site like WOOT that sells things on sale, wait for a low end PC build to come through for the same ballpark price itll probably meet or beat it, be pre-built and name branded. (doesnt matter MUCH until you need support or a component has an issue, and to avoid buying some absolute junk while browsing Amazon or newegg for the cheapest PSU or the like). Those who have microcenter may also be able to score great "bundles" especially in-store only sales. So I am not saying you cant get there... But there is a secondary consideration- who builds the LOWEST pc you can and is it a good investment? Because certainly one of the things you can do is upgrade your PC... but I wont advocate for someone who may want to upgrade it to invest in AM4/DDR4 system board, ram and CPU.
Yep. Because RT reflections are not running at full res as it is, I think. That would be effectively sub-864p upscaled then. So any uplift there is much more recognizable in reflectionsI'm guessing that's the point, image quality wasn't noticeable between 864P & 1080P but it was noticeable in the reflections & other stuff so they had to rethink it & use 1080p
The 9060 16gb is around $460-470 or more right now in Amazon. The 8gb version is not even worth it. I would buy the 8gb.GPU comparable to PS5 Pro power is ~400$.

Isn't the 5500 pcie limited or something like that???PC with 9060XT 16GB and 7400f will be faster than pro in every aspect (2x better CPU and slightly faster GPU).

That is the number of pixels, we are talking about scaling factor.Ftfy.

AM4 build will be faster than PS5 Pro and AM5 build will be much faster than the console (and futureproof).
Add OS for ~20$

And mouse & keyboard (the default controller for the device and games)

I see that you started jumping through hoops with your post. In the end, both PCs will be better than PS5 Pro and both will allow you to play WAY more games with much more options.
You can also check out this video (but it's based on old prices):
6 core CPU and PCI-E 3.0 SSD?
Dont even try, some PS players have retarded mind set, if the PC isnt a 10800x5d + SLI 5090 64gb + 320gb DDR6 15750MHz + 10penta bytes of Nano Super Fast SSD isnt a worth PC to compare against the mighty budget friendly $900 PS5 pro. What's wrong with that?
5500 offers close to base PS5 level of CPU power (so Ryzen 3600).

7500f is almost 2x more powerful than 3600.
PCIE3 M2 is enough for all games, there is barely any difference in performance between Gen3, 4 and 5 drives in games (the same is true between 2GB/s XSX and 5GB/s PS5)

Been messing with the settings tonight. Sad to say that changing the individual graphic settings doesn't really affect performance much on my RTX 5080.May I make a request? Thanks for taking some time to mess with it.Been messing with the settings tonight. Sad to say that changing the individual graphic settings doesn't really affect performance much on my RTX 5080.
I turned shadows settings to their lowest and other shadow settings off and the FPS didn't really change much. Not even 1 or 2 frames.
I went in and set the game to both 1080P and 4K Raytracing on Pathtracing on (automatic ray reconstruction turns on default) Any settings that were not raytracing or pathtracing did not change the FPS.
At one point I turned everything down all the way and while the image looked worse, like Diana's hair looking like a lego figure helmet hair, it did not change the fps more than 1 or 2 FPS.
Resolution settings are where any noticeable jump in FPS seems to manifest.
It's the Pathtracing that is the biggest hit. Next is the Raytracing.
I went to the interconnect bridge in the city level and looked around the city from the bridge. This is a heavy graphics area.
1080P Raytracing on, Path tracing on, DLAA I get dips below 60FPS down into the low 50's. If i turn on Quality, It's a good 60FPS. Have some GPU % to spare.
4K same settings I have to go all the way to Ultraperformance with everything maxed out for 60FPS.
I don't know how a 3080ti compares to a 5080. But I think you can do just fine maxing out the graphics. If you enable Pathtracing you're going to have to use DLSS no matter what.
Ill igore the innuendo because im not a native english speaker. That being said, nothing is better than a console when you simply wants to turn on, sit on the sofa, not stress about configurations (and yes, i do not like the fact that you can change graphics configs on videogames) and play for some hours. If you want to build your own PC, that is another level of 'fun commitment'. In the past, i liked build my pc... today? A HTPC, please.I guess being mounted by a powerful PC would explain why you don't like them anymore. Perhaps a laptop is more your size.![]()
To be fair, Sony gave those people a week's notice (more if you were paying attention to the global economy) that prices were going up. If they wanted to buy it at $700 and didn't then, that's on them.Blame that to Sony's stupidity and greed. 700 is negligible, but 900 was nuts. Lie i said, insecure PC users cannot stand that a ready and plug-and-play machine can achieve the same results and second hand PCs taht needs to be put toghether manually, like everyone has the skill or even patience for that :-D
And before any idiot anwsers: i mounted by powerful PC (it was powerful 6 years ago, at least :-D).
Holy shit, that SSD was £75 and is now £220.AM5 build

Don't forget that under Linux games have 100% access to PS5's hardware, nothing of the CPU is reserved for the OS, which it is not the case in regular PS5.This, and the fact that some games run surprisingly well on emulated Linux on the PS5, shows how little care many developers put into porting their games to PS5.
Many (not all) just don't care about optimization, IQ, tweaking settings etc. If it runs, ship it!
