That annual pass is a trap. How much of your already limited free time are you going to spend playing WoW after this releases. Its going to be rough partitioning time for console/handheld gaming and D3 as is. WoW, especially in its current state, can suck a lemon.

This is worse news for Tera than Max Payne. They really need to consider moving that date somehow. Two weeks is just not enough time to play an mmo properly. It's unfortunate because it looks really promising as well.

Yep, it's for the most part a persistently connected online game. Blizzard's reasoning is that they need it to be absolutely legit for the auction house to work. I believe if you choose to play offline you can't take any items/weapons you acquire online in any fashion.

Sold out in most places already, IIRC. Unless Blizz decides to increase shipments, your best bet might be a midnight launch.

Wait, what? I thought it required online connection at all times? I specifically recall Rob Pardo telling me I should play a different game if my connection goes out.

ArenaNet would be very wise to wait till July at least to release. Fortunately I believe they're smart enough tto give D3 a wide berth. They also haven't announced a set release date yet which gives them flexibility.
