I'm wondering if this will actually be limited or not. Usually the WoW ones have been, but it seemed like Starcraft's was available cheaper later.

Well, you can still get the Cataclysm CE, and for cheaper than the original retail price. But as we all know, a sealed Vanilla WoW CE is worth well over $2000. SC2 CE was around for awhile, sometimes cheaper, and you can still get it for not much more than the $99 it started as.
So it's possible we'll see CEs floating around for less than $99 a few months down the road, but if you really want a CE, rather than just having a passing interest, it's better to be safe than sorry. This one has better swag than the SC2 one did anyway.

Also, day one! Removed my Diablo 3 standard edition preorder and decided on the CE instead. If there's a game i should buy the CE it's the one game i've been following (closely) since it was announced.

There was a blue post earlier in the day about overwriting your digital key with your CE key, then contacting CS and "in most situations" you would be able to receive another key to replace your original digital key to give to a friend. We'll see how that works out though. I think that's a big question on a lot of people's minds.

RE Diablo III I'm excited!! Played the 2nd one soooooo much.
One of the few games my wife is actually excited about playing as well.
2 X $80 for Aussie copies is going to sting though...

Torchlight 2 has pretty much blown it which is a shame. Can't believe there's a concrete date and I won't believe until the box is in my hands.

Speak for yourself. I don't see any reason why I should skip Torchlight 2 for a pseudo-Diablo. Blizzard did almost everything to alienate fans of the original games, yet there'll be enough people who'll spend their money on the title only.
Um...Torchlight IS the pseudo-Diablo.
While Torchlight 2 will have its followers, D3 will pretty much dominate due to actually having a solid release date.
Wasn't that due to EA not wanting the Steam version to release before retail copies? I don't think Blizzard would have such an issue.
Speaking as someone who's played the hell out of the beta, this is anything BUT "pseudo". This is Diablo in it's purest form.

Arghhhhh! This is torture...I have the game downloaded on my notebook for less than 4 hours and it's getting unbearable to sit in front of it knowing that Diablo is inside, lurking somewhere waiting 2 months to be set free!

If I were En Masse I would be shitting a brickhouse full of bricks right now and trying to figure out how to move the release date for Tera up a month.
So true, was thinking of playing Tera aswell then blizzard came and bombed the shit out of it.

Being one of the few people that played the area not meant to be played I can say that it very much is Diablo.
They converted the easy brain dead click beta to something where you actually need to pay a little attention. Most importantly though the gameplay feels really really good. Even just default attacks feel so right. They also nerfed the hell out of crafting too, making it more drop focused as well.
Torchlight didn't grab me at all. The combat was unsatisfying, loot bad, and felt repetitive. Wasn't fun for me. I'm still looking forward to see Torchlight 2 and where it improves.

No. Diablo 3 will dominate because it's Diablo and it's being made by one of the highest profile PC developers ever who's known for their quality. There was never any doubt it would outsell its competition by a landslide.
Given that, I see no reason why TL2 can't also be successful. There's more than enough room for 2 Diablo-style ARPGs, especially when one could be considered a budget title. I will probably play and enjoy both at some point.

No chance, if a console version is ever made it'll be a long while until it's finished. The devs said the computer version is the one being worked on, and if a console version is decided on it will be worked on when they are finished. Knowing how trustworthy devs are these days on matters like this (not very) anything is possible, but the facts are what they are.
Don't expect it soon.

Woke up today and felt like crap... My dream was all kinds of fucked up. It was about the release date not actually being true, so I was sweating like a mad man when I woke up.
Now I'm awake though... and I realize that it was just a dream, and the game is actually coming 15th May.
