Tomorrow will be the 20th anniversary of the legendary "9.9.99 for $199" launch of the Sega Dreamcast in North America. After the botched US launch of the Saturn 4 years earlier, Sega of America was determined not to make the same mistakes again. SoA COO Bernie Stolar went to work repairing relations with both retailers and developers alike (although EA famously decided not to support the console at all), and the console would not be launched until an impressive library of polished launch games was complete and ready to go.
