Did you use to be an edgelord?

My first email addy was independentgunman@...
I still use it to this day as my spammail.
At the time I played Gunman Chronicles and was a cool skaterboy who liked the skateboardfirm Independent.
I remember, that even my 3 years older friend who helped me create the account thought it was cringey.

I've had the same name since SOCOM 1, use it for everything I can unless some other chancer has stolen it.

It's timeless.

However my e-mail address I still used is the title of a Dillinger Four song and it's dire spelling it out to people on the phone.

I thought edgelord meant references that shock or offend not just normal names. OP needs a definition.

My tag when I was younger was "Unholy". So, yeah. Total edgelord. I grew up in a very religious household, so to me at the time in my teens; that was SUPER edgy and "against the machine" sort of shit.

The second handle I ever used was this one, and I simply never changed it ever again. Its ~17 or so years old now, which is a LONG fucking time. But I simply don't care to bother changing it now since its tied to so many decade or older handles on so many of the gaming platforms I use like Steam/Battlenet and others.

Its cringey as hell with the super awesome intentional misspelling

, but whatever. Whats done is done.

Well to be fair, whats considered edgy to kids that are teenagers now is very different from 20 years ago when some of us were teens. "Dark Angel" and "Unholy" counted as edgy in the 1990's... But now in the days of /r/The_Donald, MGTOW, Gamergate and shit... who the hell knows.

I used to go by MasterXero because I was a gaming master and spelling things with an X was cool.

God, in cringing just thinking about it

Back in the starcraft 1, Warcraft 3 games, I had a username |X-Chaos| Yes, I am terribly embarrassed by that stage of my life, I don't even know what that was supposed to mean

I knew someone who called themselves 'The Abortionist'. Although I think it was more out of irony than anything else.

I don't think I ever was.

I bought Portal on ebay once and the guy actually sold me his steam account with Portal on it and the username was "Menitta". I'm Menitta now.

Prior to that, everything was Nintendo which didn't have Usernames, just Miis.

Edit: I do still enjoy Shadow the Hedgehog though.

Little did you know you inherited the Menitta crown and all the responsibility that comes with your title. Somewhere, your kingdom awaits you.

When I started my Steam account I was .:adepT

Sigh.

Also I was SanAndreas723 on XBL WAY back in the day but that was just stupid

No. but I made my gamer tag when I was like 12 or 13. It's currently jewchefhat93, which is offensive so I want to change it to just ChefHat93 or my current most common tag Nothing1016. But PSN is dumb.

I had some shite handles back in the day on UT, Q3 etc. but they're not really traceable and don't link back to any accounts or anything, also nothing edgy that I can remember.

I did have the same handle on Steam for 13 years until I changed it this year, and again it wasn't edgy or anything, my psn and xbl are just versions of that nick so I've pretty much avoided all edge.

I used the alias "Lone Wolf" for some time... so yes.

I made some AMVs in my time too. All to FF7 AC, with songs by the likes of Iron Maiden and Symphony X.

my first username in CS was xXxDungéonWôlfsxXx or something, then i got serious with the edge and changed it to PAN-fuckin'-SPERMIA... and people just called me sperm :|

Back in the days of three-letter arcade game leaderboard names, I would enter my name as DIK. My cousin would use DED.

Supreme edge.

My longest running Xbox gamertag is IMD1 PK and still is. IMD1 is a reference to the matrix series and PK is just my initials. It doesn't bother me too much.

My PSN name is more cheesy than it is edgy

I started with Shadow_cse as my user name on CompuServe chat rooms after my cat who was also named Shadow who was named after Shadowfax from Lord of the Rings (yeah I'm super creative when it comes to names). Later in high school I decided change my online name and I had just bought a new Burton Ronin snowboarding jacket....soooo yeah it has been that ever since. Oh and the CSE are my initials.

As the years passed on, I realized that I had more fun living the edgy lifestyle so I've embraced it with a full heart<3

I live and breathe edgy! I wear edgy clothes, wear makeup, love the aesthetic, like the music, and enjoy things when they're dark and gritty. Oh and I LOVE Hot Topic <3

So I kind of wasn't when I was in my teens, but with every passing year of my 20s, the edgier I get c:

In terms of gaming, this simply just translates to maining Reaper in Overwatch and thinking that DmC is the game where I feel like the protag is super relatable and badass :o

Man every time I read your posts I just think "this guy can't be a real person."

Come to think of it my Steam account is still named Ragnarok_elite

I used to go by dark_dewgong when I was younger.

Pokemon was cool but I needed to toughen it up so I added dark at the beginning so you knew I cool.

I remember making sure the first bands on my braces were black and red because I was hyped for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on the Gamecube and thought that Shadow was super cool because he was tough and evil.

God I was naive.
