Lower the fucking resolution on PS4 and give us a locked frame rate.
Theres that too, I think we will only see those advantages when the big exclusives starting to show up.
I could say the same thing about resolution, but I won't because whilst some people struggle to notice the differences, it doesn't apply to everyone. For the people it does apply to however, the differences are not simply "persuaded" due to being told about it first. Like I stated before, the articles already covers people who don't notice the dips... that may very well consist of the vast majority of players, but it's a call each should make individually, rather than claiming that others won't notice it.
yea but i would think the difference should be more noticeable, with multiplatform games, since devs would have a much easier time with the faster ram, compared to XB1 slow ram, and limited bandwidth.
Lower the fucking resolution on PS4 and give us a locked frame rate.
Where I have said there are all? They are not at all from my knowledge.
How just said, dynamic res should be the best choice to tearing and fps unstable. It's more tough to catch for the eyes.Lower the fucking resolution on PS4 and give us a locked frame rate.

In ps3 I seen enough racers with lock fps. I can't guarantee if they were 100% locked but even Forza or Horizon I don't give so much faith to 100% locked. It needs a long accurate fps test to see such things.
That's not simple how you think prove a 100% locked fps.

You can imagine what you want. You can't believe me, it's not my fault. Your convictions are only yours. I can't do so much for this.I'd imagine nearly every PS3 example you're thinking of would fail to qualify. It's very uncommon.
As for it being proved. Well DF has done the same analysis on multiple Forza games (and Driveclub) to come to that conclusion. It's at least as provable as it would be for any Nintendo game that you'd be confident in obtaining the same.
That looks like a texture load problem to me. There is no reason for next gen consoles to have textures that low.

Sucks for them? they are your readers and almost all of them own an LCD, your article made it seems like 900P isn't too bad which is false cause like you said, on LCD it will look like shit, your article downplay this fact, nobody cares that on your Kuro 900P looks fine, it's misleading for most readers who owns LCD.Sucks for them. I'm using a Kuro Elite plasma but I capture on an LCD (where 900p really looks a heck of a lot worse).
OLED > Plasma >>>> LCD
I have no clue.
I can say that it took an extra week to get a copy of Dragon Age PS4.
I agree, but DF said it like that is the normal texture in the console version and that some textures are randomly low.
Of course I don't really mean that, but those replies were ridiculous.Sucks for them? they are your readers and almost all of them own an LCD, your article made it seems like 900P isn't too bad which is false cause like you said, on LCD it will look like shit, your article downplay this fact, nobody cares that on your Kuro 900P looks fine, it's misleading for most readers who owns LCD.
Oh, it's not. A higher resolution texture never appears on that statue even while waiting there.Seems like a texture load issue to me. Texture quality on consoles is pretty high in general, don't know about this specific thing they have found.
The article made no attempt to address the likelihood of the reader in perceiving the frame drops (while DF has had no issues in the past telling readers how difficult it must be to notice a 30%+ difference in resolutions).
A reader, not given a perspective on the problem, may very well avoid the PS4 version even if he may very well not perceive the issue (5-10% difference, in certain conditions), and miss out on the gamewide 30% advantage in image resolution. Like this ltwood12 guy above.
Surprised the Xbone has a more stable frame rate! Weird.
I see the red line now, but still it doesn't appear like the classic tearing of the PS3 days. Without that red marker I probably picked out 1 in every 10/15 as a good old fashioned split the screen tear.
Also dark10x, I think the frustration from some is borne more out of others here saying they recognise a "trend of stable frame rates" on XB1 when there talking about 3 games and one is GTA which doesn't have a more stable frame rate, rather than DF's investigations.
It's funny how people will find occassional frame rate drops unacceptable, but are happy with lower resolution at all times.
So a 1FPS difference is worth claiming that the XB1 trades substantially higher IQ for stronger performance? How many of these nominal differences in framerate are DF going to make hay over before their bizarre power parity narrative starts looking silly?

Oh, it's not. A higher resolution texture never appears on that statue even while waiting there.
Texture quality is generally very good on console but there are select items throughout the world that look rather poor for whatever reason.
Forza games have notoriously impeccable framerates. On ps3 I seen enough racers with lock fps. I can't guarantee if they were 100% locked but even Forza or Horizon I don't give so much faith to 100% locked.
Honestly, I'd always take a completely stable frame-rate over improved image quality. I've always felt that way which is why I've had argument with Durante and those that prefer superior image quality over rock solid performance. It's funny how people will find occassional frame rate drops unacceptable, but are happy with lower resolution at all times.
The framerate drops are uite noticeable on PS4 at certain points, but I just attribute that to typical Bioware laziness. Mass Effect often dropped to 25 frames and below, and I could deal with that... So this is nothing.
Coz its a more powerful console like I said further on in the thread. Why are you surprised? It's running at 1600x900 vs 1080p or higher on other platforms.
It's funny how people will find occassional frame rate drops unacceptable, but are happy with lower resolution at all times.
SonyGAF? Man alot of people going ape shit lately about X1 having better fps.
There's a few games on X1 that had slightly less fps and people bashed it. Funny how things work here
Ya, it's a bit ridiculous to me. The framerate drops are nearly imperceptible, but the resolution difference will be staring you in the face almost 100% of the time that you're playing.
Console wars will be console wars.
For console owners that prefer image quality to consistent performance, however, the PS4 version provides just that.
I have been called out for asking below 900p for better stable. So no one is happy in either way.
This is NOT nitpicking. I put a solid 8 hours into the XBone version of the game and it is 99.99999% locked at 30 fps. It just doesn't dip.
Sucks for them. I'm using a Kuro Elite plasma but I capture on an LCD (where 900p really looks a heck of a lot worse).
OLED > Plasma >>>> LCD
You would never be able to tell me when da drops from 30 to 27. I know that already.
Of course I don't really mean that, but those replies were ridiculous.
People know what 900p looks like which is why the conclusion is buy PS4 if you care most about image quality or buy XO if you care more about frame-rate. It's really that simple.
Everyone has different opinions on what's more or less important to them.
Oh, it's not. A higher resolution texture never appears on that statue even while waiting there.
